Massive over reaction in this thread. The team that has got us to where we are must go to be replaced by an assortment of hit and miss dross. Just need two or three sensible additions but more importantly - keep what has got us here- especially Wright.

Really can’t see that Rudoni is the issue. He was poor last night but was not alone in that. For me the big drop off has been Torp who just can’t get around the pitch. Maybe just needs a rest and Eccles to come in for a few games

Atmosphere was a lot better. In a way the atmosphere at the start of the second half cost us a bit. We lost our heads and started playing for fouls rather than goals.

You must be watching different games. Works hard, always a threat and consistently good delivery. He’s not had an easy ride - he’s playing well.

Both goals were due to our full back not being able to defend. It was Van Ewijk to blame for both though, not Brau. Just before the goal he also waved Clarke through to put a dangerous cross in that came to nothing and that itself was about 5 minutes after Clarke got in behind him again and...

Wright is a goal scorer. A proven one. They don’t tend to do much else. His link play is better than Simms but to be honest both have poor touch. That’s why they are both good championship players and that’s why they are playing in it and not higher. To be fair to Wright he had no service at all...

We’re in a fantastic place. Got beat by a very good (and expensive) Ipswich side. No drama

Fair point. And he’s been awful for a few weeks. There’s definitely a few in need of a rest. Is a fully rested Allen a better option than an exhausted Torp for example? KKH, Eccles, Allen should all start at Charlton

A bit torn on this. I’d say all three pens get given by VAR. But probably only the Saka one was one.

Really unfair to criticise Brau. Due to us being superb at the other end of the pitch for most of the season our defenders have had something of a free ride. You can’t knock Brau coming in for his first game when we were on the back foot for the whole 90 minutes. Personally I thought he was fine...

It’s fairly simple. They were much better than us.

Not really buying the tactically outdone piece. Outpassed and out run yes. Control the ball, control the game. One of those games against a team that can afford to indulge due to heft parachute payments.

Don’t think they were the issue. We never controlled the ball so their service was non existent. Ipswich out passed and out ran us in midfield and controlled the whole game as a result

To be fair to Wright he had zero service all night. He wasn’t as anonymous as Torp or Rudoni

Take the point but their doubling up was largely midfielders. You can’t have your CB out on the wing. Don’t get me wrong, I like MVE but this season in particular he seems to regard defending as a chore that is second to getting forward. He’s ridiculously easy to get in behind.
