    Then we have a problem. Swansea obviously targeted Bidwell and he was ponderous and stiff. Going forward he needed an age to set himself to deliver dross.

    EMC was anonymous first half bar the excellent finish. He was next level 2nd half. Conclusion: he’s a massive confidence player. But it’s beyond a doubt that he is quality and the goals put him in an elevated bracket.

    EMC the stand out. Confirmation elsewhere that whenever possible we need to start Wright and Brau. Torp technically good but showed the lack of pace that means he’s a very good champ player. Rushworth excellent. Grimes superb. Defence again got away with a couple.

    Just got in and must have watched a different game. We controlled the whole thing barring a chance for them in each half. A pinch of luck and we win that by 3-4. Can’t see why Brau isn’t starting before Bidwell - his prep for crossing threatens to run into minutes rather than seconds. Good win...

    Exactly. The wage bill will increase massively without signing 1 player. Not sure exactly what some think the level of TV money is but it’s not infinite. I’m sure King will do the right thing whatever the pressure is to spaff millions.

    I’ve got to say this talk of promotion is giving me the heebie jeebies. I’ve followed Coventry for around 45 years. This is not going to be a slam dunk. The clubs DNA won’t allow a comfortable ride.
