We are just outside the playoffs and he's played 29 games, slotting in different positions and hasn't let anyone down. If he stays fit, and if we don't go and buy a bunch of multi- million £££ midfielders, he will be in the team or a valuable and versatile sub.

Because you said that if we had a fully fit squad Eccles would struggle to get on the bench. He's performing really well at this level, can cover several positions and has just been given a long contract. Assuming he's fit, he's clearly and rightly seen as a valuable member of the match day squad.
