Why would be be paying him a fortune for nothing? If he went to another club while on contract, his new club would have to compensate us. We would only pay him up for the rest of the contract if we sacked him.

Not sure what happened to my previously reply. I meant to say that I wasnt too sure that our players are on multiple thousands of pounds per week. One or two possibly. But I take your point that the occasional hotel stay is affordable for them.
