    Transfer Rumour David Brekalo

What delightful planet have we landed on, where we now appear in the same sentence as the 'a' word?

    Sunderland crowd..

Your philosophy is clear 'mate', but there is no need for winners and losers in this case. Why is encouragement for families 'capped'? The offer is great, and there's room in the stadium to meet all the likely demand from people with kids.

    Sunderland crowd..

Adele can't make extra tickets available by opening more blocks, but CCFC can. If Pete had got in in time, by definition somebody else and their kid(s) would have missed out, and now be having to pay vastly more and it would be 'their fault'. If I understand it correctly, the club has elected...

Match Thread Swansea City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 19th Aug

Godden scored in the 39th minute. Cannot understand the idea of travelling to Swansea for a football match, missing a chunk of it to go looking for a drink, and feeling hard done by for missing a goal.

I see the club are advertising for a Head of Performance Analysis. Seems unnecessarily extravagant, when they can just crowdsource on here.

    Matty godden

I reckon his current all-round performances are as good as I've seen from him. If only he'd buried one of those shots at Leicester. Sluggish for a lot of last season, but clearly motoring now.

    Perspective

Yes and despite that, mostly did a fine job of defending too. It's such a tough position to play. Bidwell is more limited on the ball than Da Silva, which I presume is why he's lost his place (at least for now) but I hope he stays because you need different types of player in that position...

    Perspective

But it's clear that the wingbacks have been asked to push high up the pitch. If we lose the ball there are definitely going to be times when the space behind the wingbacks will be exploited. They can't be everywhere at once so will be 'out of position'. There are inherent risks (as well as...

And superbly in patches. Promising I'd say, and in some ways easier on the eye than last season. To be honest, while results are obviously important, I have been just as interested in seeing the potential of the new signings, since they are on quite long contracts. And I like a lot of what I see.

You mean Wright right on the left, with Sakamoto left on the right?

Binks looks like an excellent loan signing in that position to me.

No, but we have Kelly and Lati who can play in those DM positions too. So while we do want to add quality & depth there, we're not so desperate that selling clubs can rip us off.

    The Replacement

    Transfer targets

There's no area of the team where we are struggling to put out a strong combination at the moment. We may be shopping to add more quality and depth, but we aren't in the position of having to make desperate signings. It's a good position to be in.
