I see Baka has a 6 week injury lay off. Seemed to make a good start for Bolton so it's a shame for him.

    Jobello

    1) it's a translated french article. 2) it's one person's side as you say and seems like it's very much out of context from what Robins has done previously.

    Squad Depth

I know. According to one twitter source at least. But it's clearly not the same as jobello and hilsner is my point? He's still involved with the team unlike those being bombed out. And as such he still provides depth.

    Squad Depth

We don't know why Pask isn't involved? It seems strange he was heavily involved at start of pre-season and now he's not involved Who knows why? Either way we have 6 senior CB's on the books. That is squad depth. If they aren't picked as options then they should be moved on and their place can be...

    Squad Depth

When you have 2 CB's out yes there is? I think everyone agrees we are short a LWB, ideally a defender who can play LWB and CB. Other than that, as I have said previously, not many squads in this division will be able to cope with 2/3 injuries to any singular area of the pitch.

    Squad Depth

Agreed, I would understand not starting him at RWB because as you say the wing backs are so important, but to not start him at RCB was just odd to me? Perhaps he's just not wanting to utilise him if he could be off, who knows! As long as we win I don't care

    Squad Depth

Agreed, but also highlighting the point there is squad depth surely?

    Squad Depth

Based on what? He's not struggled at any other point? He is also one of the fittest within the whole squad? He doesn't have any substantial history of muscular injury, and has missed very few games barring suspension for us? As on overall reply to the thread: I don't know many teams that...

    Jobello

You're right, I think he's in a position where he feels hard done by when in reality he isn't it's just his perception of the events. I don't think MR would have promised anything, he would have said, that the system could change and he'll be in with a chance if it does as long as he's fit and...

    Sheaf the Kaiser

He wasn't frozen out at any point? He got injured for 3 months, but when he was fit he was almost if not always involved in the squads.

Statistically a team will concede a goal per game over the course of a season. Which is why strikers and attacking players have always cost so much more and is also why this is where we concentrated out spending. I agree I don't think come 10 games time, we will be in the same situation, but I...

And O'Hare! Both on 3 now! Feel bad for O'Hare he gets kicked to shit constantly he gives it back and is immediately booked!

I agree. We also have the joint 2nd best defensive record in the league at the moment. And that's whilst starting dabo at CB in two of them. I'm hardly concerned defensively when everyone is fit. Some cover for Maatsen's inevitable suspensions would be nice!

Think Jamie Allen deserves a mention. 3 good performances on the bounce and did okay against Northampton, might finally be seeing the best of him? And causing a selection headache for Robins.

You look at the teams in the league and compared to last season I'm not particularly blown away or worried by anybody except west brom and Fulham? I think the play off spots are up for grabs to everyone this year. Covid has been a great leveller from our perspective. May not get a better...

Clarke Salter will be muscular if it's been pre-match. Typically they aren't extreme and more just niggles, so fingers crossed it's precautionary

Cheers for confirming 👍 Yeah it is perhaps Robins trying to be more creative and open, rather than going more conservative. Let's hope it works!

Ta, that would make sense, at least it's not covid then. Hopefully it's a let's be safe decision, rather than a long term injury

Did he? Fair enough if he did but just had a look through posts and I can't see him say that anywhere? Maybe back form injury but given he wasn't close enough fitness wise before the injury, he's not going to be any closer now, without having played for the u23's for 2 weeks.
