So much talk these days about fullbacks stepping into midfield, and making it sound like a new invention. I’m certain Gordon Milne often did that with us in the late 70s (4-2-4 became 3-3-4 depending on the circumstances). Nobody called Mick Coop or Bobby Mac an ‘inverted fullback’ though.
