    Jamie Allen signs new Contract

I would guess about 200k. Todd Kane!?! QPR wanted him off their wage bill and there were interpersonal issues too. On that basis the comparison was a poor choice. We also do have a number of worthless players in our squad that we would release for nothing but Allen is not one of them and the new...

    Jamie Allen signs new Contract

Are you suggesting Allen, a player who has played a fair amount of games in the championship for a team nearer the business end rather than basement of the league has no re-sale value?

    Jamie Allen signs new Contract

I suppose it would depend on the terms that he has agreed and how much game time they are promising? If he has signed for the same money (or close to that) it just suggests we are protecting the resale value and giving ourselves time to find better players as it takes time to evolve the squad...

I think you may wish to look at the data again as table 11 is only showing the prevalence rates per 100,000 not overall numbers. Table 11 shows that those unvaccinated have disproportionately worse outcomes per 100,000 which on a macro analysis level very much does support the vaccine programme...

    January Transfer Window

Issac Moore if CCFC think he is the real deal get his parents and him in a room now and spell out the pathway we can offer and pay him decent wages when we can offer him pro terms. If we keep him and he is as good as we hope the 200k or so we might sink paying him a bit more in pro contractual...

Here is the official up to date government data you were asking for, you will see the breakdown by age group and vaccination status on page 37. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1041593/Vaccine-surveillance-report-week-50.pdf

Good overview and this information is under constant review as there is so much we don't yet know about the durability of any immunity. The fact we are on dose 3 so soon does suggest the vaccine has not conferred the longevity scientists would have initially hoped for (very diff from the anti...

Not quite that binary, I think everyone without protecting Tcell s and neutralizing antibodies should be 100%. As decades of epidemiology research has shown there is more than one way to acquire that immunity. Vaccination is clearly the safest way and should be the default.

I have no reason to doubt your stats and i would agree they are disproportionately not helping esp. when you consider the 85% vs 15% Anyone who has not had the virus or been vaccinated (i.e. has antibodies and hopefully enduring Tcell protection) at this point should probably consider their options.

    Transfer Rumour Walker to Lincoln

In Sheaf and Hamer we have a more dynamic and ball playing central midfield than we have had for many a season. Doyle had the heart of a lion but even in his prime I think he would be 3rd or 4th choice in our current squad.

In fairness I saw that article link in the FT and only shared it as @Grendel was inferring it was the unvaccinated tail wagging the vaccinated dog. Which based on hospitalization rates alone does not appear to be the case anymore (despite that being the prevailing view). I agree it would be...

I can only assume you and those that liked your post are anti Vaccine or doubt it's efficiency? I did NOT suggest we let anything rip and the initial gov response was horrendously misguided. I clearly said give the fit and well vaccines (unlike Brazil etc.) Before allowing it to spread amongst...

Sorry Grendel I don't think all is as it seems with regards to hospitalization numbers. It's clear beyond rational minded doubt that unvaccinated people are disproportionately in hospital given the Vax rate is 85% vs 15% but the majority in hospital are not unvaccinated as many try to claim. For...

I am pro vax but also very respectful of the decades of historical epidemiology research that shows natural immunity is not an insignificant method of protection. I totally understand governments have to operate at the population level and appreciate that any wavering messaging on this topic...

With respect to the footballers I think many of them would cite the fact they have had the virus already and therefore have a good degree of immunity. People who have not had covid and are still unvaxed I understand their position far less. We need to improve anti body and T cell testing as...

    Dhillons Brewery

Good venue for a pint and local to the stadium. I have been trying to buy their beer online but the kegs have been sold out for months with no sign of them re stocking. It's a bit shame as their lack of stock will be resulting in profits opportunities being missed.

Stoke game likely to be postponed

I know medical information is private but I hope football regulators are assessing and verifying who has covid. I understand Manchester United had 19 players out but many were in the u23s and u19 squads. Cancellations (if this is not true already) should be based on a % being confirmed...
