Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Seems that Trump is Commander in Chief of the DC National Guard so the Virginia National Guard has had to be activated instead as that's outside of his control. Seems to have done the trick as the DC National Guard has now been activated. Media also reporting Trump is watching this on TV from...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Peaceful protesters outside the Capital Buildings were dispersed with tear gas not long back so Trump could stage a photo op. This picture was taken a couple of miles from the Capital Buildings, at the other end of Union Square, during the BLM protests. The difference to what we have seen...

Sorry to bang on but has anyone got a clue what is going on with vaccinations? It seems a total lottery at the moment who is getting them. There's a post on my local Facebook group asking if anyone has been contacted from a patient at the same surgery as my Dad. As with my Dad (83 and with...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Unbelievable, even by Trump standards, what we're seeing at the moment. Trump supporters storming the capital building. Senate and House of Representatives suspended with senators and representatives sheltering in place. Got to say the police response seems a bit lacking.

    Transfer Rumour Matty James

Much as I would like to think we're now a massive club that the likes of Barnsley can't compete with wonder if there's an element of him wanting to be closer to home given the current situation.

    Transfer Rumour Matty James

The Barnsley fans aren't happy and it got a 'what a signing for Coventry City' from Maddison so with that thorough analysis of his career I'll give the signing a thumbs up!

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

How can an advisor to the chancellor be appointed to negotiate with the government over the license fee? He used to be Sunak's boss, has been an advisor to Sunak and also to Johnson and is a Conservative party donor. Lets hope he maintains political independence in this new role.

Its one of those things where it seems its been flagged up in various government reports over recent years but never acted on. Seems UK manufacturing was allowed to die out as it was cheaper to manufacture in India. There's two new large scale manufacturers being built that will in the future...

This may be a stupid question, not that its ever stopped me before, but it is being said the bottleneck at the fill and finish stage is due to a shortage of glass vials. Can they not recycle? Ship back the used, empty, vials to the factory to be refilled?

Saw some BA flights to Vegas for £300 for late this year. Was tempted but in the small print it says if you change the flight its not a straightforward date change, you get a voucher for the amount the initial booking cost to use against the cost of a new booking. They'll always get your money...

Another fine example of trickle down economics. The amount chief execs earn has gone from 20 times the average worker in the 80s to now be 120 times. BBC saying they have to work 34 hours to beat the median average pay. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55551314 Also in the news the ONS have...

    24 Hours in Police Custody

I've no idea how nobody lost it with that women and her sudden onset of any illness she could think of. Made me laugh when one of the coppers said 'she'll have polio by the end of the week'.

Government create their own problems a lot of the time. If they hadn't made any mention of getting 10 million doses of Pfizer and 30 million doses of Cambridge Astra by the end of 2020 then we'd all be thinking it was going brilliantly in terms of getting hold of vaccines. Over promising leads...

The BBC article is interesting. Around 15 million doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine in the country, about half what the government said would be available by the end of 2020 but only 4 million have been filled and finished ready for use. Interestingly the factory in Wales where this finish...
