THE DEPENDABLES - 1967 until Now

Michael Doyle does not belong in that list. He was average, at best. Awful in many games. To add to your list you need... David Clements, Brian Borrows, David Burrows, Bobby Parker, Roy Barry.

Doncaster v Reading, Forest v Derby Tuesday night

IF we lose both away games coming up I accept it will be very difficult to stay up, but it will not be over. I will be in the 1% who will not accept relegation until it is certain. With 3 points for a win it will not be over until there are 5 or fewer games left. I hope the players are not as...

    Crowd & result vs Brum

CCFC win 1-0. McSheff penalty. King sent off for retaliation. Brum defender sent off with Deegan. 23,424

    Stern John

Can anyone name a midfielder who didn't get constant stick from many fans? Let me start: Dennis Wise. That's probably the one and only. We always overrate defenders and forwards and slag off the midfield.

    Stern John

Just to be clear: I like Keogh. He is a solid, hard working, dependable, heart on the sleeve, salt of the earth type. Every team needs players like him. However, there are other types of players who are flair and skill. Now, ideally you want players with both skill and solid effort. When those...

    Stern John

Stern was quality. Trouble is many of our fans prefer work rate and alleged passion over genuine ability. So they love Keogh, Doyle, Flynn, Deegan... Who all have their place, but I prefer the likes of John, Boozy, Best and Clingan. So sue me.

Our players are scared of space...

None of our midfielders are prepared to gamble and run with the ball into the centre, edge of the box. This needs to start happening if we are to score more goals as crossing is mediocre, as are corners, and we lack aerial threat. I want to see AT gamble in the last 20 minutes, like Blackpool...

    Stats to back up Otis

Colonel, I agree stats make it difficult but the same could be said of most of the bottom 6. They are all in a poor run of form. Basically 3 poor teams will survive. We have every chance of being one of them.

Our players are scared of space...

Agree. Pass and move is so simple but we play pass and play statues. Our midfield in possession were very static at times but the forwards were also leaden footed for long periods. We need to sharpen up.

    RATINGS FOLKS v Crystal Palace

Sammy was good for the 30 odd minutes he played. Some of you lads do the player ratings before the match. Just because you prefer Thomas does not mean you need to find fault where there was none. Sammy moved the ball swiftly and found his man every time, except once when his pass was...

    Stats to back up Otis

If football followed statistical analysis there would be no point playing AND the bookies would be out of business. The only stats that matter are the results of the next 11 games compared to that of the other 5 or 6 teams down the bottom. Most of the fans on here must be youngsters who didn't...

Up or down...where do you stand?

Staying up.. Never over until it's over. Where's your blitz spirit? Coventry people stayed positive even when the city had the biggest air raid in history. Your forefathers are turning in their graves!

Clingans view on his penalty miss

Why don't a few of you burn an effigy of Sammy tomorrow night or throw eggs at him? Strewth, can we stop this witch hunt? After all we have more important things to worry about. If we go down I think the 2 points dropped by Juke's penalty miss will be more significant than Sammy's miss. It...

Clingans view on his penalty miss

What do you expect him to say? I agree with the fans who say I'm shit and I didn't even try and I will go and eat worms somewhere. Can we just leave it now? Juke didn't get this much stick when he kicked 2 points 4 feet over the bar!

    Captain Craptastic...

Lots of interesting points. Let me point out a fact to chew on... At Forest we gave an abject display, with no pace, movement, ideas or passion. Keogh was captain and Clingan was injured. scapegoating will get us nowhere. Whoever pulls on the shirt should get unconditional support from now...

    Keogh - Overrated?

Indeed he has. That said it does not make him above criticism. Our fans dish out criticism to every other player and some get OTT abuse.

    Captain Craptastic...

You forget we were 2 up with a few minutes to go and mid table, late season, nothing to play for. No excuses

    Fixtures game by game

The game I fear most is the one where we have to win or draw to be safe. Let's hope it's not an away game.

    Captain Craptastic...

When a player is on a hat trick and the game is safe it is the done thing to allow the hat trickster to take it. Makes no odds that McSheff was pen taker normally, this was not a normal situation. McSheff should have done the right thing and let Stern take it. The fact that he did not...

    Keogh - Overrated?

No connection between the 2 things. My opinion is the same now as it was before. He is a good player but our fans tend to exaggerate his ability. Too many extremes, most of our players are mediocre or we wouldn't have kept them until now. Our best players we lose.
