I don't believe that AT is currently capable of achieving great results with any squad. He is too inexperienced and his pretty (boring) football does not bring about results until you get to a higher level.

I think he would've known the budget was tight even if he thought there was more than there was. I still wouldn't have removed a competant player to be replaced by a competant player when you're working under tight constraints.

Not when they come to the Ricoh. I've watched this for the last few games and the majority of teams leave a player up the park. Lets be honest Mcsheff or Cody Mac won't be much use defending corners as they are tiny. It would also force the opposition to leave two defenders on the halfway...

Who do we think chose to discard Quirke and bring in Dunn, when this money could've been put toward a new outfield player?

I agree that Thorn is not the problem. I disagree however that Thorn could yield better results than Boothroyd with a bit of investment.
