    Transfer Shouts

Or perhaps he's been assured the Big 3 don't have to be sold, but there will be less cash. He would take that, and pick up the key positions he needs (already one done, with Palmer) Hope that someone comes in for Kane, Walker or Waghorn which will give him more room to manoeuvre.

    New Kit !

It would then be a Fireball
  3. Offhegoes

    New Kit !

Nor mine, I am OK with the colours, but don't like stripes. Really thought we would get the Chocolate Brown this season, which would look great, but it's probably too divisive, and they want to sell as many as possible.
  4. Offhegoes

    Sam McCallum

McCallum would certainly be an upgrade on Maatsen. He is excellent defensively, and can deliver a good cross and long throw. OK, he might not have the flair, but we need to stop conceding soft goals and he would help with that as Maatsen couldn't really defend. I would be very happy with this...

    Sam McCallum

Yeah would be an excellent signing. He looked really good for QPR before injury last season
  6. Offhegoes

    Matt Godden

Godden is a clever player, brilliant finisher, but still doubted by some City fans. Yes his injury record could be better, but he has been a bit unlucky there (freak foot injury, Appendix)

    Transfer Shouts

Bit like Matty James a year ago, and we certainly didn't miss him, and he spent a lot of time injured at a mediocre Bristol City. JCS was good, and being left footed helped with our balance across the team, but better than Hyam? No don't think so. Sure we have other targets for CB, as we knew...

    Video Ryton Renovations Update

That video is in the running for the worst one ever released on the CCFC website!

    Transfer Shouts

JCS and Palmer announced today I hope.

    Tyler walker

I'd agree with that, but Waghorn on paper certainly looked an upgrade on Max, but ended up not being, and costing us a hell of a lot more in wages, signing on fee etc. I would of kept Max too, mainly as back-up striker to Viktor and Godden. As you say it may of allowed us to bring in a young...

    New Kit !

A thing of beauty....I really hope it is this

    Stephen Hughes and Ben Sheaf

Bloody hell, Stephen Hughes. Everything that was wrong with our club for many years were players like him. Granted, he had a good 1st season, but once he got his long term deal, did the bare minimum. Square ball, neat and tidy, no adventure to his game or urgency. His partnership with Doyle was...

    2022/23 Kits

Would like to see a Brown away kit, been waiting for years for them to bring that back. Hopefully no stripes on the home kit either.

    Hyam vs Rose

I like both, but like any defender at this level, they have mistakes in them. Hyam is braver, and a better defender but is suspect to pace. Rose has pace and can pass well, but loses concentration.
  15. Offhegoes

    Transfer Shouts

Agreed. He was decent, but no better than Fadz or Hyam across the season. We need to look at League 1 / Relegated Championship left footed centre halves, of which I am sure there a few.

    Retained list

I would of given JJ another year, as we are not blessed with players in the positions he can play, can only assume Robins has some players lined up. He's a great player, and may rise up again if he can stay injury free. His lack of game time was telling I guess
  17. Offhegoes

    Preference

Yep. With the 2 being Clarke Salter and a Left Wing Back
  18. Offhegoes

    Transfer Shouts

Big fan of Liam Kelly, but he misses large chunks of most seasons with injuries, with this one being the worst. He was key in our form last season to avoid the drop. As he is under contract, and a reasonable offer came in, I would let him go. Eccles looks like he can step up and compete with...

    Positivity thread 2022

Moving back to the CBS was more of a big thing than I expected. It was great playing in Coventry again of course, but I didn't expect the big crowds and such a raucous atmosphere (the best it has ever been in that arena). A promotion push next season and we could be seeing 26-27K for the home...

    Who would we like

We've played Wycombe a lot in recent years, so Wednesday, + Hillsborough was always a good ground for us (in the top flight days). Sunderland, no for obvious reasons. if MK don't make it, maybe we have a chance for Scott Twine
