Pressing like on that does't seem right. What a horrific thing to happen. Glad he's getting some help now. My ex worked in mental health. Cuts were made (as part of the top down reorganisation Cameron promised wouldn't happen) which they knew would impact on the ability to provide the server...

    Pre-Season Friendlies? - L1 Title Celebration?

Unless we're playing a 'name' then playing a pre-season game at the Ricoh with about 1K people there isn't going to be great. Would rather do what we have done the last few years and play at Nuneaton. Small crowd in there and you can still have a decent atmosphere. Shame the Butts pitch is...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Three of the six were candidates giving false information so not something voter ID would prevent. One was for someone trying to take the ballot box, again voter ID would do nothing. So that leaves a whole two cases. We must deal with this massive problem urgently and spend a huge amount of...

Would he want it? A party divided that's miles behind or stay in Manchester where he's won by a landslide?

    West Midlands Trains F**kwitery

Hard to believe nobody thought this might be a bad idea. To make it worse reading the article they haven't even apologised and are insisting it was the right thing to do.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Very much depends what its being spent on. My ex-wife worked in the NHS when similar claims of increased spending were being made there while on the front line there was a freeze on recruitment and constant cuts. The extra funding was going to companies to bring in 'temporary' nursing staff as...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

There's a plan to vaccinate all Olympic athletes and staff. Wonder if there's been any talks behind the scenes of doing the same for football. We're not far off the point where they would qualify but as it can knock you out for a few weeks is there an argument to get it done over the close season?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I've had the rolling news coverage on in the background at work the last few days. In amongst the parade of political 'experts' a few have brought up pasokification. Now my knowledge on this is so wide ranging I had to google what it meant :) The general idea is that since around 2010 there has...

    Wycombe to survive ?

Wycombes argument will presumably be that they are being disadvantaged as Derby broke the rules but wouldn't that open up a can of worms given we're talking about multiple seasons. Couldn't Middlesborough then make the same argument they should have been in the 2018/19 play-offs?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I was struggling to think of anything past vaccine procurement so decided to google and see what came up. The first result was Conservative campaign literature which by a stunning coincidence has listed exactly the same things as you 🤔

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

To me he seems very much in the Boris say what people want to hear category. When he was campaigning round here he went to the HS2 site by the uni, where there is a decent sized protest about cutting down ancient tress, protecting the countryside etc and spoke about how much he in favour of HS2...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Seems to be a lot of people pointing to this article but isn't it just a long winded version of the much criticised 'voters are stupid'? It basically says those that have voted Conservative have fallen for a load of BS and if Labour just wait long enough they'll realise their mistake and return...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The issue is that it prevents some people from voting and has been shown to disproportionally impact certain demographics. 3.5 million people in the UK don't any photo ID , if you require either a passport or driving license that increases to 11 million. These are often the poorer people in...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

In the 2010 general election the Conservative manifesto promised a referendum on EU membership, they got 36.9% of the vote. In the 2021 Scottish election the SNP manifesto promised a referendum on UK membership, they got 47.7% of the vote. Why does one give a mandate and not the other?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

How much value do any of those 'brands' have anymore? Is there a discussion to be had to merging all three under a new name to try and lose some of the baggage. Very drastic but I can't see any sign of a Labour resurgence anytime soon and the Lub Dem and Greens are firmly on the sidelines.

Certainly exceeded my expectations. Well done to everyone. As ever we need to keep building and look to finish higher next year.

As annoying as Rotherham postponing all those games was it would be quite funny if they send Derby and Wednesday down.
