Still only 25, if he can get a run of games which he's in desperate need of, no reason he can't reach Championship level again in a couple of years and he'll still only be 27.

Agreed. Godden is available now, so Maguire will give us another option off the bench, as Walker is clearly not good enough.

We blew a lot of our L2 budget on Andreu who basically played one game, and was a similar player to Lameiras. Max Biamou saved our season by being the perfect foil for our marquee signing McNulty.

Shipley looked way better at LWB last season (his performances against Peterborough & QPR spring to mind). He was simply lost in midfield. Would of been happy for Robins to have kept him as back up / alternative to Bidwell.

Stern John was a good signing, although it took subsequent managers to get the best out of him. John & Adebola were one of the better striking partnerships we had in that first spell in The Championship.

I think once we lost O'Hare, and then the injuries to Fadz, Eccles and Tavarres added on top of that, the play offs were gone. I am happy if we look to end the season comfortably, and start planning for next season. Get Sheaf & Hamer on longer contracts, and have our transfer targets set for...

A few observations. King appears like a guy who’s bought a football club, but doesn’t really know anything about owning a football club Despite this, he seems genuine, ambitious and keen. A smart business brain, and possibly exactly what we need.

The Palmer / O'Hare / Vik combination would get us promotion across a whole season. We may not see that, now that O'Hare is out for the season and Vik may go in the summer. However, I still think O'Hare & Palmer behind a striker would be lethal (even Godden).

Hopefully Callum can be back training by July / August during pre-season, and introduced slowly by September to games. He seems a tough nut, and mentally strong.

He's been a great signing. We knew, due to his lack of game time last season it would take some time to get him match fit. OK, so he has not scored a lot, but I think back to games such as Watford away, and Boro at home where he was excellent and at the heart of all our good attacking moves...

Because he was making an impact even when not playing every game. Let's see come May this season, I think it will be clear he was an astute signing. He clearly likes being here, and is being managed correctly.
