You missed out 'and Oxford' and member of the Bullingdon Club.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I've wondered if we could do a system whereby each position has two people, each doing 3.5 days (or 4+3) paid pro-rata so we have an economy that works all the time. The idea of a weekend is an antiquated one now. Also many sectors where you could get 3 people on 8hr shifts a day to enable...

    Guns in america

Also am I the only one that automatically goes "WOOAAH" when they read the title like it's a Kim Wilde song?

I thought they were going bust? And someone really ought to point out to them that bit wasn't in the Constitution as it was originally written. So if it can be amended to put it in, it can be amended to take it out.

Tickets giveaway to an evening with Coventry City legends Dion Dublin, Richard Shaw & Paul Williams!

I see the picture is named comedy legends - some would argue an apt description of Shaw and Williams. I hope they're not doing the door cos I think you'll find a lot more people inside than you bargained for. *I actually like Willo and Shaw. I just didn't think much of their defending at that...

Does this look like a Bake Off board? Or mumsnet? ;) I'm struggling to understand what I'm looking at. Perhaps if you had some sort of graph to represent it it might help

To be fair, Johnson is doing enough work behind the scenes to ensure Johnson Youth has a massive membership anyway without needing to entice other people's kids.

    Taxi cancelled for Robins

I'd argue that flexibility was enforced due to injury and he couldn't do what he wanted. I'm not sure if those players had stayed fit he'd have changed things. This is probably the first season where injuries haven't led to us coming across a good alternative, mainly due to it being the main...

    Bristol kill the bill protest

I'd also like to point out that all the news coverage is of the sensationalist type, covering what happened at night. Where's the coverage of the many hours of peaceful protest and march? Anyone not looking any further would just be led to think " they turned up and trashed the place". Hardly...

Just watched all the goals we've conceded: who's to blame?

That's quite some analysis there. I wonder if MR and his coaching team have something similar? Given how many times we make the same mistakes you have to question it.

For a second I thought red codpieces must be in fashion for some reason. Although that may be a fair description of Farage anyway.

Good point. Bet the NHS are dreading the carnage they face if all restrictions are relaxed in one go.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I think this is where the vaccines could make it different to before. I think staggered reopening and the keeping of small inconveniences like facemasks indoors etc for a while is sensible, but the vaccine should hopefully prevent the numbers of serious cases and deaths reaching the proportions...

Four years ten months seems very lenient to me

You are indeed correct. But that's also the fault of the law. The justice system is there to uphold the law, not make it. If the law is wrong the courts have no right to overrule it, nor should they. And as has been said those with a lot of money and power influence politicians and so...

    Bristol kill the bill protest

During the daylight the protest was calm, non-violent and almost a carnival atmosphere. Once it starts to get dark however... That's just people wanting a ruck. They don't give a fuck about what a protest is about, just the chance to engage in mayhem. It's been the same for BLM and far-right...
