We paid 750k for an out of favour 3rd choice striker with no resale value whilst in league one. That didn’t go too badly

They don’t need to get into everyone’s best 11. It’s the same for a lot of the other teams. West Brom currently inform but Dike doesn’t get into our side the difference is the other teams have championship quality to bring on and rotate - that’s why we’re mid table
