The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

One thing is certain if Brexit turns out to be a disaster those who voted Leave will not take any blame. It will be the fault of, The nasty foreigners, EU The nasty foreigners, who will continue to migrate to U.K. The remainers for having sabotaged the deal in some way. The politicians who...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Maybe this should be in the things that annoy you thread but 'baby boomer' is a misnomer. It covers 1945-1964. There is really no comparison between the experience of those born in 1945 with those born in 1964. I know since I have cousins born in those years. Most pensioners were born before...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

'To get back on topic, if/when it has been officially established that the Russians are responsible for the spy poisoning Putins Oligarchs will still be allowed to wash their money through the City, they'll still be allowed to expand their London property portfolios and the tories will still...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Even Caroline Lucas managed to sound hawkish and not mealy mouthed, supporting a firm stand. National security is the first duty of a government. Corbyn doesn't measure up.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

I agree, but such information is not going to be discussed in public is it? As leader of the opposition he will be briefed on what the intelligence is. God help us all. Therefore that is the place to raise his doubts. In public he should be more statesmanlike. It is bad form not to show...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

A few facts for you, I don't read any tabloids I was educated and achieved a very good degree from a Russell group university and now teach A level philosophy. I was not interested in the Czech spy allegation at all. Insufficient evidence IMO We don't need to fabricate anything against Corbyn...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

He probably has seen the evidence and refuses to believe it because there isn't an actual photo of Putin (holding his ID up to the CCTV and leaving his DNA all over the place) spraying the chemical in their faces dressed in a Russian flag. Even then he would believe it was a Western alliance...

The top three places you miss most from Coventry city centre

    1) The Stagebite restaurant in the Belgrade theatre. It was the first, and best, posh burger restaurant in Coventry. Used to go there a lot late 70s 2) The old Parsons Nose chippy. 3) BHS family members worked there part time and Saturdays at various times.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Lincoln City Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Mar

    Love snow

Why not, it's a snow day! You have no knowledge of how much work they will do over the weekend. I am at my desk at home marking books which means I don't have my usual Sunday afternoon 2-4 hour session to do. The teachers with you are probably PE teachers!

BTW why should I not get paid when I am available for work and have been told the workplace is closed and decide to work at home instead?

More teacher bashing! 1) Teachers do not decide to shut schools and are not consulted over the decision. It is the decision of the Head teacher (the boss who is not a teacher any more) who consults with local authority for advice on roads, weather, buses etc, consults the site team / caretakers...

    Anti-snowflake Entertainment

No, but in the modern world it would make more sense for there to be mixed teams of cheerleaders. Why shouldn't boys do this too?

    Anti-snowflake Entertainment

Can we bring back pies in tins, toothpaste in tubs and woodbines in the corner of our mouths whilst we're at it? Maybe the players should go back to those micro shorts too. Not every change has to be resisted.

The green green grass of home

That metallic click sound the old turnstiles made, again, and again. The smell of cigarette smoke in the open air. The walk round behind the West End or Kop and first sight of the stands. Little kids with sky blue hand knitted bobble hats. Rattles and rosettes. The West end, united, will never...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Cambridge United Match Thread - Tuesday 30th Jan

Attendance How many more times must it be said that a midweek evening in winter is a bummer for a lot of fans - who travel in from outside the immediate area, work, traffic, time you get home, work before and next day. - weather, cold, dark or wet. I am late 50s, tiring and demanding job, live...

    The Presidents Club

Just because a few women like it, allegedly, doesn't mean that it isn't wrong. Some abused people don't recognise the abuse for what it is, or believe this is a natural state so why fight it, or believe the money is worth it. Sad, but true.
