CCFC are being discussed at Westminster today

Colleen Fletcher (Coventry North East) (Lab) There is a strong sense of déjà vu surrounding these proceedings. Around this time last year we stood in this Chamber and debated exactly the same subject: Coventry City football club’s long-term future in its home city. At that time, the club’s deal...

Matt Western (Warwick and Leamington) (Lab) I thank my hon. Friend for securing a debate about this proud club, which, as he says, is important not just for the people of Coventry but for many people in and around Warwickshire. Although I agree with him and welcome the work of Wasps in the...

The election was a tactic to be able to deliver something on Brexit before the next one was due, but good polls indicating a solid majority were wrong and it backfired. The strategy it turned out to be a bad one but the conditions were good, what went wrong was that the Tories had no vision of...

...increase in migrants across the Channel.

Also the % figure is no good measure, there are huge areas that can't be farmed or developed and many areas that are over developed already. Infill has been going on for many years, look at this ariel photo for example, where is it? Well it is Cheylesmore in 1939. It is absolutely no...

Nonsense, he wants to re-nationalise everything. If you are under 40 you probably won't understand how inefficient most nationalised industries were.

Shocked defeat was by so much. I was so wrong thinking the MPs would suck up her deal in the end but I guess it was so bad and unclear no one could take it. I'm hoping we just leave without a deal and then build up a deal in stages from a position of strength. I am very dissapointed by the...

CCFC are being discussed at Westminster today

I wish a very wealthy 3rd party would come in and buy CCFC, Wasps and ACL. That is the only clean way to reset and lose the antipathy and resentment that hangs around. Anyway that is unfortunately not terribly likely.

CCFC are being discussed at Westminster today

My gut feeling is that the Supreme Court will tell SISU/CCFC they can't proceed with their appeal and a last minute deal will be done, but if I were Wasps I would insist upon a minimum 5 year deal and a £250,000+ escrow held to cover legal costs should any further action be undertaken in the...
