Hopefully Clarke-Salter has an option to buy in his loan deal. You don’t really progress by loaning the same players in over and over again.

It's easier to put up with his behaviour when he's clearly one of the best players in the league and winning games on his own. I doubt it'll be the same in this division, if he ever even manages to make it onto the pitch.

Will be interesting to see how he does at a better side. Was the ideal defender for the scrappy, long ball relegation-deciding games last season, but was still a part of one of the leakiest defences in the division over the course of the season.

He's going to be ahead of O'Hare in the pecking order soon, don't forget

Be surprised if he makes more than 5 starts for us in the league this season.

Would be the wrong move imo, and doesn’t speak well for the recruitment team if we are trying to ditch him after one season.

I don’t know why people seem so offended at him going to Stoke, they’ll be a top 10 side this season I’d imagine and that’s about his level based on what I saw last season.

At least he turned up to the stadium this time

We probably were but Brighton will want him to progress. It's rare that a team will send a player they've got serious hopes for to the same club for more than one loan spell.

Turner saying we want a CB (most likely Clarke-Salter) and a LWB, both on loan. Seems a bit odd to have two loanee LWBs as it’s not a position you rotate often and will probably just lead to a repeat of the Giles situation from last season.

People made their minds up a year ago and will now look for any justification to keep at it. Can only really think of two instances of him giving th ball away in the middle of the park, and neither were in particulalrly dangerous areas but if you listened to what some are saying you'd have...

    Player ratings

Moore 7 - commanding in the air, did what was asked of him. Couldn’t have done much for the goal. DaCosta 4 - really didn’t offer anything going forward, although was fairly competent at the back. Dabo 7 - looked a lot more like League One Dabo, some great interplay with O’Hare and defended...

The only negative after that second half is that O’Hare played so well that we might have to fend off some interest for him now! What a player.
