    Waghorn

Awful miss with the header but perfectly weighted ball for Hamer goal. He looked more confident after that and had some good touches.

Robins must take a lot of responsibility for that defeat. Obviously doesn't trust his players to play the press without O'Hare. Allen and Maatsen are more than capable to do it.

If we had tactically played the first half as we have done the second, we may have had a chance.

That can be said for numerous Cov players coming back too soon after injury, only to break down.

No pace at the front and the back now!!

    Why risk Godden??!

Not just about O'Hare. The tactics are totally different. That maybe due to O'Hare not playing but very selective pressing is clearly by design. I don't understand why giving the keeper all the time in the world to bring the ball out makes sense. Especially as any long ball over the top targets...

Refereeing is so inconsistent! Bidwell gets booked for pulling shirt and then two Swans do the same, including Paterson, and just a free-kick. Allen clearly fouled near the end. Three errors leading to second goal. Sheaf mis-judged high ball, Fadz indecisive and Moore slow to the ball. Rose...

    Tavares

In the 10 seconds from the moment of Hamer's free-kick delivery and Tavares scoring, Tavares moved his feet 22 times. It isn't just A to B pace that's important, it is the quickness of feet adjustment that can make a difference. Not to mention the finish.

I would like for Sheaf to come in and Allen to retain his place but further forward. However, Maatsen can't be left out and has looked a better player at AM than LWB since return from injury. He also gets back well to help Bidwell out from further forward. I therefore suspect Allen will drop to...

    Loan Watch

There has to be more to it than not being good enough surely? He was getting good reviews early in the season. He scored and got some assists. If he didn't start games he was almost a certainty to come off the bench. To go from that to playing for U23s suggests something going on behind the...

Moore 9 (handling was excellent and then 2 brave saves at their feet. Quick off his line) Kane 6 (got into some decent positions but fluffed his crosses) Bidwell (didn't offer much going forward although improvement with his interchanges. Decent in the air) Hyam 7 (some great defensive headers...

Pleased that Maatsen has started ahead of Shipley. Also that Allen keeps his place. Hopefully Dabo can get 15 minutes or so tonight. I may get shot down but I think Tavares will come on and score.

Not helped by having the sprinklers on before kick off. I don't get why they do that when the pitch is sodden anyway?

    Masters football

Micky Gynn was the king of Masters. Didn't David Speedie play in goal once and came out with the ball and scored or did I dream that?

I know this can be said by many of our players, O'Hare included, but when watching pre-match shooting practice you can see he has great quality. He certainly can finish with his left foot. I think if he scores one he will go on and chip in reasonably regularly. He seemed to get off on the wrong...

Imagine of Godden played more oftern

I don't know about his early career but with us his absences have been freak. How many players need their appendix removing or plantar fascitis. It's not like he has frequent hamstring issues etc. He is just very unfortunate.

I cannot understand any negativity towards a young player having a 10 minute introduction to the first team. If Waghorn was on fire or Godden was on the bench then fair enough. However that was not the case. I haven't seen anyone suggesting he will be an instant success or he is the next Wayne...

Some of that was because we desperately needed fresh legs, Waghorn wasn't playing well, and Tavares was ready and stripped earlier, only to be told to sit down again and dressed. I think it was only Waghorn's miss that eventually prompted his introduction. Anyhow, what better way to welcome any...
