Burroughs has played well again but started to look leggy. Allen is just not getting hold of the ball. Looks low on confidence. Palmer showing some great touches. Think Gyokeres should have hit his back heel pass first time. I would quite quickly bring Waghorn on for Allen.

Great start. O'Hare looking really sharp and McFadzean superb. Look vulnerable from corners, which is a concern. The movement and rotation between O'Hare, Allen and Hamer is so good, with Sheaf tidying up behind.

Thought Sheaf was our most consistent player throughout the game. Others improved after the break. Looks like we are down to bare bones defensively with Rose injury. Looked like his groin again. Maybe a place on the bench for McGrath?

McFadzean was phenomenal the last 10 minutes or so, typified by winning a header in the 6 yard box, sandwiched between two players. Gyokeres is an absolute powerhouse.

That was so drab. Lots of players are not on it. Wigan look a threat at set pieces. Need to up it two-fold second half. Think we should have started with Allen.

Speaking of goalkeepers at Edgar Street, I remember watching Hereford v Coventry friendly featuring a young Chris Kirkland.

Some decent individual performances again but really sloppy early on and for second goal. Thought Panzo made a difference offensively when he came on. Hamer covered every blade of grass and still looked sharp at the end. Allen's running into space and running defensively was phenomenal. If only...

Jamie Allen is put to the floor just inside our own half in the build up to Hamer's goal. By the time Hamer shoots, Allen is on the penalty spot. Sums him up - never stops running.

I imagine he will be given a break on Tuesday with Sheaf coming back. However, he will be a little unlucky, given the wins and clean sheets whilst he has been playing. Sheaf is a more consistently accurate passer, but Eccles has telescopic legs and is decent in the air. I think he has more pace...

Very professional performance. Very defensive but when you have the quality of Hamer, he can unlock something. Ball to Allen was class (great run and finish from Allen too) and Hamer's run and finish was even better.

I wouldn't be changing Eccles in centre mid for the moment. Two games in that position and two wins and two clean sheets. He can win headers which is a bonus and has a bit of everything. Deserves to keep the shirt.
