Are people so stupid as to see that we are so lacking up front. We concede to bang average teams all the time because they have a decent striker and despite the chances we create we have bang average in front of goal.
Was in the Villa stand, fairly close to the City fans. Couldn’t prevent myself jumping up when we scored to find a stack of City fans doing the same up there. There were a few disgruntled Brummies shouting at us but none came too close.
Think Simms has been a costly buy for what he offers but in reality Matty G seems to be second to most balls recently , he’s just not quick enough at this level now. I’d prefer him with chances when the ball is at his feet than Simms but it’s not really been happening for him. My vote would go...
Some of the issues compared to other stadiums may also relate to the fact that almost the entire crowd is effectively trying to enter through only three sides rather than all round the ground.
