I don’t want either but if we can’t do better than Riis then I’d be disappointed. I am forgetting that some will be just desperate for us to sign anyone. Lampard will want better there is no doubt of that.

Wright got 12 in about 15 games less. For where we want to go, it’s nowhere near enough.

You’ve just answered your own question. It’s a terrible shout because he got 12 this year, 6 the year before, 5 the year before that - partly because of an ACL and shock he hasn’t come back anywhere near the same. Honestly, people want rid of Simms and Wright then want people like Riis. Baffles me.
