This may have changed as I don't tend to buy anything in the ground given the high cost, poor quality and massive queues but when I have in the past always amazed me that at peak periods, ie: half time, they were never prepared for a rush. Have pints poured ready to go as you do at music...

    DO NOT boo the knee

This isn't good. The National Police Chiefs Council's football lead wrote to all 92 clubs offering to work with clubs and players against online racist abuse. Of the 92 only 49 have said they are interested and even worse only 8 clubs have actioned anything. Figures for the PL are even worse...

    M25 blocking

Turns out the Climate Change Committee recommended, back in December 2020, a 20% reduction in meat & dairy consumption by 2030 but that target was rejected by the government.

Both great ideas so how does some idiot who is currently gluing themselves to the road go about achieving them?

You mean the road outside the east stand? That's always been an accident waiting to happen. Can they not adjust the gate out of the car park onto the A444 so it can also be used as an entrance? Given they don't direct people to empty spaces you tend to see car park A fill up first, if they're...

    M25 blocking

So what's the answer? There's been passive environmental protests since the 70s and as people on this thread are keen to point out they've achieved pretty much nothing. There's also been protests against countries at the top of the list for emissions and companies responsible for emissions...

Spoke to a friend that works on large events. This is called the flow rate and the industry standard is apparently 10 people per minute but 20 people per minute is not unachievable if you're not searching people. Apparently there are 45 turnstiles so, if you assume an even distribution of...

Same at mine, they removed it as they said it couldn't be used for booking phone appointments but surely its not a huge development job to sort that out given its a nationwide system. My surgery is pretty good at letting patients know what was going on and they admitted they had huge problems...

How many entrances are there? Pretty simple test. See how many people per minute you can get through the gate and then divide the expected crowd by the number of gates. Then you know how long it should take to get everyone in and if it takes longer something is wrong somewhere. Off the top of...

    Weight and working out

70 pounds down since we went into the original lockdown. Thats the good news, the bad news is since the start of August the loss has totally stopped and nothing seems to kickstart it again.

And if it was a bit cheaper & better quality. Telling people to turn up an hour before kick off to sit in the cold and rain or stand in a cramped concourse drinking expensive beer isn't going to work. Not sure what the solution is as you can't magically create more space on the concourse. Even...

This is just the government pushing the blame onto GPs who were told to stop face to face appointments as part of covid measures. Hunt promised 5K increase in GPs by 2020. Didn't happen. Hancock promised 6K increase in GPs by 2025, yet since 2015 the number of GPs has decreased by 2K. The...

Why do people keep suggesting Insulate Britain stop protesting on the M25 and instead protest against China etc? How is that going to help achieve their aims?

    Any refs on here?

Is the confusion the 'if an offence involves contact, it is penalised by a direct free kick' part?

Completely agree with this. There was a small amount of trouble at a handful of games, which should have been handled far better by the police, and then a massive over-reaction to put the fence up. Since then there's constant trouble but it seems that's no longer an issue as its not on the arena...

    M25 blocking

Having lived just off the M25 for several years there's jams pretty much every day, unless you're at the front of the queue or see it on social media you'd barely even register it as being any different to every other day of the year.

Disgracful but sadly par for the course with this government. Wouldn't fancy being the first person who has to test how well it stands up under International law.

At a guess its more to do with incurring costs now for an event that could potentially be cancelled if restrictions are brought in.

    Fucking Idiots

Haven't they just passed the buck? Article says "we will not be issuing an arena wide ban on the wearing of faux Native American attire" and they've asked the RFU to make the decision for them.
