Strangely (and you may disagree), I think he’s adapted very well season-to-season and has developed his ideas/formations to suit. This hasn’t really happened this season and whilst I do think a back 3 leads to our best play, the fact he evidently doesn’t know what the best starting lineup is and...

    QPR Ratings

Having had time to stew on it, here goes: Marosi - 6 - aside from the horrendous rick for the 3rd goal, he kept us in the game. Looks to be over his injury concern, although I did get worried when the ball hit him in the face first half. Rose - 5 - in parts, looked like the only player trying...

Who have you heard this latest hot take from you little gimp?

    Celtic Approach Eddie Howe

He’s obviously got something about him in terms of developing playing styles to suit different leagues (most managers would tactically hit a ceiling) but equally I think he’s a hype job who seemed to struggle to put a defence together in the Premier League.

    Running

Did my first ever half marathon this morning, just about killed me! 2:18:02 which is about what I had expected before setting off. Last 2 miles were brutal.

We just seem to have a real blind spot in attacking movement, and have done really since that L2 season. Very rarely committed numbers forward last season and just got lucky (of sorts) on occasions when our finishing was particularly good. The wing backs are a great example of this as they...

Literally my point - apologies if you hadn’t followed that. People get unrealistically angry about England performances/results. Had one chap in the pub last year when England were drawing 1-1 with Belgium saying that we were rubbish because we didn’t do enough backheels.

Not necessarily referring to this game, just every England game people are raging because we’ve not smashed some no-mark team like Denmark out the park. For what it’s worth, I didn’t think much to the second half performance tonight.

Agreed. To some, anything but a 6-0 win and it was shit. Don’t really get it.

That second half was really drab. As soon as Poland switched from 3 at the back to 4 they got a lot more of the ball further up the pitch. Then we lost our width and the entire shape just went to shit. Bench was uninspiring.

Thought we played reasonably well in the first half. Controlled things and created a few openings against a pretty decent team who seem content to sit back.

And, of course, the one who has played most regularly in the Premier League (well, as an outfield player) Eberechi Eze, hasn’t started either game.

Unforgotten is very good as well. To be honest, I watch pretty much every crime drama on BBC and ITV.

The food standards point is a valid one, no? Why would we wilfully not commit to at least the minimum standards of EU requirements which would allow more streamlined trade?

This attitude is part of the problem. Most of the u21 team play men’s football ffs, it’s not some jolly crèche based out of St George’s Park. And Haaland did his time in his u20/u21 side in 2018-2019. What’s your point?

Stop talking absolute nonsense. What handling of Jack Grealish? He was in the last squad and, if I’m not mistaken, started all 3 international games. He’s injured. And Mason Mount is a good player. Honestly, fucking rent-a-quote over here hearing something said on Talksport then parroting it as...

No, what I’m saying is that for someone like Bellingham he could play in the u21s from 16 to 18 and then be called up for the first team. There will always be a core of u21 players that aren’t good enough to become full internationals, it’s not just an England thing. But, for me, the u21s...

I largely agree with that article, but it’s a little far fetched to claim Rice couldn’t play that holding role himself in a game where we had 75% possession. I’m also not sold on Kalvin Phillips at all. Yesterday I’d have played Rice and Mount, or even just Rice and Ward-Prowse.
