    Cov Rugby 2024 - 2025

Relatively quiet up here today. Thought there might be a few more, what with no football on. Decent game though.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 15th Mar

Leeds wobble incoming? If Burnley and Sheffield United clinch the auto's, the play offs will be mental. Would love to beat Sunderland in the semis and Leeds at Wembley.

    Loyalty Point Bands

I think there is an element of FOMO about it. I have first hand experience of somebody who couldn't make a game (might have been Bristol), who allowed someone else in their network to use their points. Turned out that that the person who used their mate's points would have qualified anyway...

    Funniest moment yesterday

You've obviously never been to Keresley. We're lovely up here.

    Funniest moment yesterday

Maybe not racist, but definitely stereotyping, possibly xenophobic. I chuckled but didn't join in. In terms of discrimination, we've got bigger fish to fry. Not an issue for me personally.

Only been in Dhillons for the Ipswich game this year, but there were a fair few away fans there. No problems.

Agreed. The difference from freezing your bollocks off a few weeks ago, to getting your legs out on a Saturday morning is chalk and cheese.

The noise after Bobby's goal was the loudest I've ever heard in the stadium. Admittedly, I've moved from B23 to B13, but fucking hell...it was spine tingling.

    Sheffield United Tickets

Just clicked on the link for details about their local derby tickets (away). 20% are allocated via a ballot to ST holders, regardless of points. Interesting.

Best 11 since return to the championship

Until Dovin scores a goal with his cock that's pivotal to us making the play offs, then I'm sticking with Wilson between the sticks. Edit: And statistically, as a golden glove winner...

    Landscaping Recommendations - Nuneaton

Dunno whether you're sorted yet Macca, but we had a superb job done last year. DM me if you're still looking and I'll share Rob's number. We're in Keresley, so I'm sure Sunny Nunny wouldn't be a problem for him.

The final table prediction...top 6 or not?

Statistically, we're due a wee wobble before the end of the season. Of course other teams will too, but my gut tells me we'll miss the play offs. Still been a fantastic run under FL, and if we can keep the current squad and manager then next season should be a different matter.

The ghost of O’Hare finally laid to rest?

Loved Callum here. I think Rudoni is great, but O'Hare really did love his time at the club and showed it frequently. In 3 years time, I hope to be looking back at a Rudoni photo that matches the sunglasses moment at Brum.

We live and die in these towns

Please no! That will lead to scarfsnobs rolling out the 2005 freebie and looking down upon the youngsters. Even worse, there will be wankers with half'n'half's.

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

Sorry to hear you can't make it anymore mate. No doubt that day will come to many of us. I have heard that there are ways of watching every game live on the tellybox, even the 3.00pm Saturday games. Are you aware of this?

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Saw September 5 on Friday. Really, really good. Very impressed with the way the whole film was framed. The Brutalist this evening. I think it's a little overrated, but the intermission really worked. It was like seeing two average length movies back to back. The intermission is perfectly placed...
