People seem to forget the money they spent whilst we were in the championship but whatever.

Obviously they are imperative. It's the main source of revenue. However, about 5 minutes after this statement, the telegraph interview with Mogga came out about the 2 signings. I guess we sold a fuck load of season tickets in that 5 minute period to be able to afford these signings.

It's just marketing for season ticket sales. Obviously more sales means more money for Mowbray. Two signings expected before Wigan so stop bitching and moaning.

    Transfer Update

Tony Mowbray is ‘close’ to landing two new players to boost his Coventry City squad before Saturday’s big Ricoh Arena showdown with Wigan Athletic. While the Latics continued their recruitment drive with reports that they’re on the verge of signing former Sky Blues goalkeeper Chris Kirkland...

Do we think we can get a win Saturday?

An excellent chance. Wigan have been poor going forward in pre-season (like us) and we have been fairly solid defensively. We'll probably lose 5-0 now.

Is the telegraph stand open for this game???

    Less like our home everyday....

I can't wait to go back there on saturday. They could put a big picture of James Haskell on the tarmac giving us the finger and I wouldn't really care.

Just listening to the Nii Lamptey pre-season podcast and it was a decent listen as it normally is but when discussing Wigan, there were a fair number of inaccuracies. When talking about the squad they mentioned Emmerson Boyce, Grant Holt, Don Cowie and Jermaine Pennant as potential threats...

    i know its

Fleetwood have lost 5 out of 5 of their pre-season games people. Swindon lost to swindon supermarine and solihull moors. Port Vale drew with Getafe. Pre-season on the whole means fuck all. I'll reserve judgement until a few games into the season quite frankly. If we beat wigan 3-0 then I won't...

It's a decent side for this level and is well able to challenge. The thing I feel will let them down is Gary Caldwell. This is based on pretty much nothing but an inexperienced manager and playing a 3-4-2-1 with that back three. Don't expect him to last the season tbh.

    Oxford United (Nuneaton) Match Thread

What have you seen so far? The Nuneaton 0-0 game. Seemed like the classic dull, low tempo pre-season game that I've come to expect. Are you happy with the results in pre season? No. I don't like it when we lose or draw. However, I don't particularly care because these results mean bugger...
