to be fair i don't think he was implying that he's a bad manager, i think what he's trying to say that he will probably steady the ship and stop the rot but don't expect a miraculous climb to the top of the table. Other barnsley fans i have spoken to seem to have a similar opinion as well.

just spoken to my friend who is a sheepsh....sorry derby season ticket holder, he rates Ball very highly. he described him as strong, tall, good on the turn and rarely misses the target. His only criticism is his lack of pace but i suppose that is to be expected if he is a target man style...

i'd have him...he'd probably be looking for a championship team though. i remember him scoring a good goal a sheff wed and he came on at colchester when we won 5-1 and tore their defence apart...i'm sure he won us 2 penalties that day. i'm not sure what sort of wages he'd want though
