Match Thread Walsall vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 10th Nov

I’ve said in that last post it’s only my assumption like you did in opposition. Both our opinions are assumptions but I’m clarifying he can play a central midfield role to which you claimed or interpreted he’s not. He’s a number of years experience playing in centrally in a 442 so it’s not...

Yeah at Livingstone and then Hamilton he played in Center mid and later in a more forward role when they changed to a 4231 at the time it became the go to formation for many in the uk. You suggest he could of been moved forward as he lacked something to play a central role, maybe it was his...

    callum wilson value

Is it just me that just doesn’t have that connection with Callum Wilson, his emergence came in the sixfields season to which plenty didn’t get to see or to warm to as we would of say like we did with McNulty last season. Putting that aside tho he’s done very well in his career and come back...

I agree with Doyle, yes he’s prone to a wayward pass but he’s a first name on the sheet for me. Personally I’m happy with him sitting in. Works for me. As for Andreu I’d play him in the checkatrade game in the deeper role and see if he’s still got the ability to contribute from a deeper...

Match Thread Walsall vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 10th Nov

Andreu is a central midfielder by trade but more recently in his career has been used further forward when the 4231 become the go to formation for most sides. He can play that role. When he’s played the no 10 role this season or second striker however people see it he had nobody ahead of him...

    League performance based on results

The things we’d do as a kid, spend over a hour carefully pressing these out to lose interest by the time Tuesday nights games have done. Funny how it says my team is on this particular one.... just in case you forget your a Man City fan this week not a Liverpool fan, oh and has the SPL like...

Just been reading this, Andreu Saturday would of been my option but you have to assume he’s not fully fit and able. Personally I think he’s so much to offer and this data gives evidence to that if he’s willing runners ahead of him to feed Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Strength In Depth

This is the best place for him now in this side, his vision and passing rage feeding could well work. MR is the gaffer tho and feels otherwise right now and likes to keep things tight in the middle Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Waxwork Rod ha ha, I like that. No in that 2-0 defeat it was Mcdonald and Willis with Stokes and DKE either side. That defeat was the weekend after Davies did his shoulder at Forest Green so was absent from the squad. It was not his usual commanding game we seen but I think we all look to Tom...

Be nice to see Chaplin in and around the box more not dropping deep, he’s ineffective otherwise. Bayliss is very effective at bringing the ball forwards but is still adapting to League one. Saturday was the first time Tom Davies has faced Accrington for Coventry.....? Sent from my iPad...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Nov

It was a quality strike from a player who was brilliant all afternoon. Davies had a difficult and slightly poor game too by his standards and I don’t think anyone would disagree with that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Nov

That’s my point, we’re looking to hang Davies as he had a off day up against a difficult player who had the better off him on a few occasions be that physically or little tricks against backing in etc... would we be looking to do so if that was his only tame challenge and it was a poor challenge...

Well naturally it’s like a kids Christmas list, a little beyond reality at this point potentially but two quality additions that would enhance us in search of a play off spot in the 2nd half of the season. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Nov

I watched this goal back several times now and I’d of liked Brown to of done more before and after Tom Davies tame challenge. The initial through ball for the No 9 Brown makes the movement to intercept the pass and stops leaving the ball at the strikers feet, Davies looks to then challenge...

Exeter’s Hiram Boateng would be top of my list. I’d raid Exeter if I’m honest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It’s all opinions I guess, personally I’d of just liked a but more from him over the 20mins. Maybe I was a bit critical as he did have a influence in the goal. You had the better view then ha ha. [emoji106] Yes I’d like to see both interchanging flanks, that could be deadly. Could also be...

Fair points, we all see things differently I suppose and nothing wrong in that. Was you sat in the west stand and view his performance from a closer view than mine? I’m hopeful in the second half of the season JJ will be a greater player for us as his return improves Sent from my iPad using...

Thanks. Having looked at our ratings were not poles apart. You rated Thompson and Chaplin far greater being the notable difference and 4 others 1 point more. I guess it’s how we rate and look at individuals performances. I posted this in reply on the next 7 games thread.... I think it’s a fair...
