Lucas sad that ccfc don't run ricoh

Having read the blogs and taken great interest in the time lines of all involved it more or less confirms people's belief that the driving force behind this was ownership of the stadium, not saving Wasps. In fact Brian Moore the ex England int said the week of the sale that they could have...

Joining 'Greater Birmingham' would be good for the City, says Ann Lucas..

If this ridiculous idea is put forward the people should decide , not "do as I say" which is how the Ricoh was sold. As someone has already said, this woman is dangerous. And to think coventry re-elected her just 2 weeks ago.

Lucas sad that ccfc don't run ricoh

She is highly unlikely to be screaming "I knew hell would never freeze over " Total sanctimonious bullshit.

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

While ccfc were paying 1mill+ in rent no one was getting the councils half, had sisu made an offer 7 ,5 ,2 years ago they would probably have been quoted 5 times what it was sold for. It was only sold because ccfc left and showed how appallingly ACL was actually run. Take out the rent and the...

Wasps to pay back Ricoh Arena loan "within days"

They have done the same as the Glazers at Man u. They never had the money to buy them so they borrowed money against the club which 10 years on still leaves them nearly 400 mill in debt. Wasps are no Man u, so i expect plenty of pain for them in the coming years.

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

I'm quite sure had it been available on the terms it was sold for they would of. ccc were ripping this club off for as long as possible, which is confirmed by the huge drop in rent after they returned. sisu will by all accounts lose the Jr but there is nothing i would like more than to see...

    Ricoh loan paid in full

Mortgaged or secured , it makes no difference to me. Fact is its another loan which will need to be repaid. Only time will tell but from destitute to one of the richest rugby clubs in the world in the blink of an eye. Russian roulette springs to mind.

    Ricoh loan paid in full

Without wanting to sound like a scratched record , the loan has been repaid by means of another loan, and a more expensive one at that. As someone rightly said on another thread had sisu been the ones to remortgage acl to the tune of 35 mill there would have been hell to pay.

    Jimmy's Statue

Agree with the attitude bit. All nicey, nicey, say the right things to get the deal done, then fuck you all. You would have thought a bit of respect might be given to JH. If that was done to Billy Bremners in Leeds or Shankley or Jock Stein, do you think that would be construed as funny ? not a...

    Today's game

I thought it was wasps that has raised the city's profile , well according to them it was. Smug twats ! While we are talking jobs , they didn't give a shit about the local area around Adams park or the loss of jobs which followed them leaving.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

In some cases a labour vote is genuine but the old saying of "my father voted labour and his father before him" still rings true in this city. I actually drink with 2 mates who are very well paid workers mainly due to tory policies from the 90s and they still vote labour.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

The reason the Manhattan deal was scrapped was more than likely ccc issues. I seem to remember Paul Fletcher talking about council officials whispering like school kids whilst trying to deal with them. They must have been trying to do a deal with the council for months before giving up. Nobody...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

The quote "when hell freezes over " springs to mind. For all the comments AL made about offers, the statement above shows that it would have been a pointless excercise. My personal view is that since the Marlon King issue she has been on a crusade to make sure this club gets f..k all from the...

    Season Tickets

They have only had 2 wembley finals, a promotion and a decent season this year (another good cup run as well). I cannot see how they can average more than us.

The problem is though, many jobs pay a lot less than the potential benefits on offer.
