    Holding Wasps to Account

It doesn't matter if they made a bid during the first minute or last minute , they made a rightful bid for the Higgs share, which we all know was never going to be accepted whatever the amount or conditions.

    Holding Wasps to Account

I dislike sisu with a passion, but my thinking at the time was that ccfc with at least a half share in the stadium would have been a much more saleable asset. It may well be that sisu could possibly have gone by now. As we all know now , wasps wanted 100% and that's what they got, even though...

    Holding Wasps to Account

Drinking in your seats during the match would account for the most of that.

    Holding Wasps to Account

Hindsight is a wonderful thing though. I have heard people state that Southampton knew what sisu were about , this is not true and the only reason they didn't end up owning them was the terms of the deal. The them chairman ( R Lowe iic) wanted more money up front than was offered and so it...

    Holding Wasps to Account

I'd certainly go for the long term deal, purely on the basis that within that time wasps will be crying out for financial help. Take away the large Xmas gate and the upcoming Leicester game you will see an average of around 14kish. This is for a team who are top of the league and supposedly one...

    Holding Wasps to Account

Exactly right , The quotes from AL regarding the sale are available for everyone to see. They would only sell if the deal would not negatively impact either ccfc or crc. That has turned out to be a load of old Bollocks , has it not ?.

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

So going by PF comments, we could have finished ACL years before SISU arrived. It seems we felt sorry for them for their losses. Shame they had short memories!

I never thought J.Henderson would ever play for Liverpool or England either.

    Brighton in the EFL Trophy

Terrible format for the competition this year which has led to crowds in the hundreds. It was purely a financial decision which I expect to be ditched for next season. Putting all that to the side though we have a great chance to reach the last 8. With it being a free draw and only single games...

Home is Where the Heart Is

For me you can keep any pre-match circus entertainment and shove it. Give me back the days of a couple of pints and a wander up for kick off. People do realise all the razzmatazz is not there for people's entertainment, it's purely to get you to purchase overpriced refreshments.

Home is Where the Heart Is

Couldn't have put it better myself , maybe rugby should be the chosen sport for the liberal leftie luvvies.

Home is Where the Heart Is

Sorry wrong day. I wasn't at the game but spent an hour in the area and didn't hear a peep. On returning home I watched the last 15 min on TV ( hoping for a Bath win) and could not believe that a top table clash could muster up such a soulless occasion on the terraces. Imagine what it would be...

Home is Where the Heart Is

So people don't swear at rugby matches ? To me rugby is a passionate sport on the pitch , it's a pity that is where it ends. A crowd which was double the average on boxing day created less atmosphere than you would find on the moon.

Home is Where the Heart Is

I agree completely , but that is more to do with people's parenting skills than anything else. I know what I'd do if my children shouted that. There are those who won't have it in any context though.

Home is Where the Heart Is

Is language and attitudes any different to the last 100 years ? I would say that today's football experience is far more comfortable and safer than at anytime in my life. Anyone who has a complaint about watching today obviously weren't around in the 60s 70s and 80s, when going to any game was a...

    Book by Gilbert

The fall out with ccc started well before SISU arrived , it was one of the reasons for Paul Fletcher to do a runner. He himself stated that it was impossible to deal with them regarding ownership or rent costs. The constant back stabbing and secret dealing led to his resignation as he realised...

    League One player valuations

Certainly a better all round player than either CW or JM. Personally I think he could be the best we've produced for years , shame we may not see him too much longer. ( if the rumour mongers are correct )
