    Roy O'Donovan

I won't believe it till it happens. He was undoubtedly the worst player I've ever seen at this club in 15 years watching 'em most weeks. Hinckley (rip) away in the pre season friendly a few years back was hilarious, he rounded the 'keeper but his attempted tap in into an empty net was that weak...

    This can't be true.

    Urquhart terminates contract

We need to let go of this Baker thing, there is no conspiracy. Towards the end of last season Pressley stopped picking him (because he's rubbish) and at the end of the season he was informed by the manager he was no longer required. Most likely because a) again he's rubbish, and b) we have no...

    Ccc/acl/higgs/ sisu saga

Yeah I agree, I'm not defending them. It wasn't difficult to see that, at the time, paying what was the largest flat rate rent of any club in the country with virtually no income was not sustainable.

    CWR 6 PM Tonight

Gonna be interesting (and very depressing); will have to give it a listen.

    Ccc/acl/higgs/ sisu saga

Going back to the Higgs, they're probably the ones who have been stiffed more than anybody else in all this. What exactly did they buy because their so called 50% share in the ground is worthless from what I can see. They've never recieved a penny in revenues from it!

    Ccc/acl/higgs/ sisu saga

I'm sure it was to be fair, my guess is Ranson promised 'em the earth (ie promotion in a couple of seasons) and 1.2 million a year compared to the vast fortune you get in revenue from the Premier League is chicken feed. It was only when Sisu realised Ranson had spent a fortune and we were no...

    Baker going

He was overpaid and ultimately wasn't that good, so we were right to get shot. I don't like how he was treated though, the same with the whole 'bomb squad' thing last year. I don't like how Pressley treats players who he deems surplus to requirements, there's a right and wrong way to do things.

    Pressley live on cwr 8.45am

Listening to Pressley this morning, I think it'll be a massive blow to him if it becomes clear a return isn't gonna happen this season. He doesn't strike me as somebody who'd just quit, and given his modest playing career financially that probably wouldn't be an option anyway but he now seems to...

    Ex Player Watch

Jesus, Barnsley have been copying Arsenal then. Doesn't really have the same effect when it's James Bailey not Alexis Sánchez standing there though.

    James Bailey

Seriously though, he was okay in his first spell, totally fell off in his second. I wouldn't pick him ahead of Fleck or Thomas personally so he'd be squad player, on the kind of £ he'd probably be on I don't think it'd be a worthwhile signing.

Average Joes did alrite in that dodge ball tournament with Vince Vaughn a few years ago did they not? Boom Boom, here all night.

    Gael Bigirimana leaving newcastle ?

I can't recall exactly what was said but wasn't it along the lines of 'it was stupid, and it was a red card'? Both of which are impossible to argue against.

    Gael Bigirimana leaving newcastle ?

Thorn didn't do that badly with him, got him a move to the Premier League didn't he? Bigirimana was a another Conor Thomas; he didn't actually do very much but was overhyped because he's young and English.

    New away shirts

I think you'll find most probably don't to quite honest, you only have to look at the cost of tickets nowadays. They care to the point they want their money; they don't care about much else.

    New away shirts

To the club? On another note how nice is that strip? If it wasn't for my belief grown men shouldn't wear football strips unless you're a footballer playing then I'd buy it.

    Pros and Cons Sixfields

Sisu are not stupid; (despite doing very stupid things from time time) they'd have expected the exact reaction they got, it wasn't difficult to predict they'd be absolute uproar and mass protests at picking the club up and moving it 35 miles away. People make the mistake of thinking Sisu give a...

    Baker

The captain doesn't do anything really in a football team though, it's more a pride and ceremonial thing. There are leaders in every team, most don't wear armbands though. It just seemed to me the club went out the way the publicly humiliate Baker basically.
  19. S

    Baker

I personally hadn't heard he was injured so maybe there isn't that much to be read into it. Why strip him of the captaincy though? And give it to somebody who arrived a week ago.
  20. S

    Baker

Better get ready for Pressley to go then because he made comments about getting back there during the week too, as well as the two new signings.
