Unclear whether a new CB is imminent. They might be but this 'long-term target' hasn't been identified specifically as a CB. Weird thing with the forwards is he's chosen the one least suited to play the lone role to do so.

I think O'Hare and Bright could be good foils for each other, with the potential of Jodi on the bench, but if we play this there's no way Walker can be the loan front man. He's a striker who needs a centre forward next to him. Gyokeres or Waghorn possibly might work as lone front men, but I...

Why? Because there's been protests? Like there have been here, despite the fact we were never under anywhere near as heavy restrictions as they have been. Only they haven't suffered from Covid anywhere near as badly as we have. You have this obsession with populism. Just because people believe...

But in the past it's been easier to encourage take up because it wasn't as easy for the nutcases opposing it to interact with and influence millions of people almost immediately via the internet and being given as much publicity as those qualified to talk about it. Take this woman ranting in...

Man U definitely had the stars align when they had the Fergie era and those youth players breaking through at the start of the big money Sky era, enabling them to take more than the lion's share of the hugely increased prize money and foreign fanbase (and thus revenue) that eventually created...

In similar fashion there's one toilet cubicle that's always broken. This is going to be named the 'Keith O'Neill Suite'.

Of course they did, but Newton Heath started out playing other railways club, lost their first 'proper' game 6-0 and quickly got relegated in the early years of the football league and were in debt. Then they got a few investors in and changed their name to Man U and within six years were league...

Already had to cancel. The table has broken in a fitting out accident and is therefore unavailable.

That's what I was suggesting over a long period of time. Of course most will fall away but at some point even the Man U's and Liverpool's of this world would have been a smallish club with a local businessman wealthier than others to start the ball rolling.

Maybe that the problem. They've been used to crossing to Max and they know he only scores worldy overhead kicks and misses tap-ins so have got used to aiming crosses accordingly.

Got Eccles too. Frankly, we've got more pressing issues than CM so if it is an issue I can only see MR using a loan to cover. Unless he can offload Shipley and Allen to bring one more in.

Like I say, different target market. You need the top quality components to build something that can afford to be inflexible on price. We can't afford them. So we're more in the Ford/Peugeot market with a huge number of competitors looking at volume - getting as many customers and market share...

But you may not have the funds to compete at that level, but enough to make a massive difference to build a smaller club up, getting a massive ego boost from being seen as this white knight, enjoying watching that club win regularly as you've been able to buy them better players than the clubs...

But in the years to come these tiny clubs may have become one with generations of loyal fans which all started thanks to this period in history where someone bankrolled them better than their rivals. Just like the big clubs of today.

It is a bit weird that we're not more of a rugby city really. We've had some great players from the city and certainly when I was at school there was far more a focus on rugby in PE than football. Also being the largest city close to Rugby it should be of interest. In fact it's surprising Rugby...
