Wasnt Hamer the dressing room joker? Perhaps if we give Sheffield back a bit of cash they'd set up a link to their dressing room to get some camaraderie back. .

What worries me is our lack of movement. We also looked scared to give the ball away so we never chanced a quick counter by running and taking them on, but always chose to go backwards and keep possession. Good sides know when to mix it up. We play at one pace the whole time.

We are so slow on the counter, even when Cardiff were out of position we still somehow managed to go backwards. Not impressed with Wright at all, looks like he'd struggle in div 2 no where near championship standard.

You're right ...it was 95-96 and their pitch went in 88. I sat right in the corner behind the goal and one of the lasting impressions I have from the game was how awful the pitch looked and the false bright green colour and texture, which i presumed was because it was plastic. Learn something...

The last time i went there we were in the dreadful purple kit and their pitch was plastic. The bounce of the ball was a joke and i actually drove and found a parking space close to the ground. Wouldn't be able to do that anymore.

Im hoping we're going to do better against the better sides as a look at the table is a bit worrying. Middlesbrough p**s poor, Swansea, Sunderland and Watford average at best.

Glad they're going for the blue socks, I don't know where the idea of white came from. It just looked all wrong. Ill def get the third top though, so the sooner the better.

Yeah he got man of the match, but it could have been so different had he not scored one of them when he had two team mates in clear space, but decided to turn inside two defenders and take the shot himself. I guess the line between hero and villain is a thin one.

I was really impressed with Palmer today and would give him and Eccles 8's. He had a nightmare opening 10 mins where nothing came off for him but he grew into the game and was a constant threat going forward. His flick through ball in the second half was worth the admission alone.
