If the fans owned the club....

The stadium is key, it's in our own interests to care who owns it!

    AFC - a different approach

This can't be done as a threat or a protest. If we go this route we have to comit to it and stick with it, and accept that the current board's entity may wither/die/rebrand. The new regime can't just be disbanded if the old board try to come back to Coventry, we can't just hand back control...

Sisu boss Joy Seppala rejects council offer to play at Ricoh Arena rent-free

Yep, it needs to be in place for 2014/15 season.

Reply from the FL on the rent offer

No, we need to cut the board loose, WE are CCFC!

    AFC Coventry

This is not really about a new club, this is about regime change! It's the same club with the board removed! We elect our own board, and begin to rebuild Coventry City. I understand why many would want to wait until the club is legally gone, or permanently relocated, and ordinarily, I'd...

Memories of Playing footie in the streets.

I practically lived in lake view park in the 70's. It's such a shame that every entrance to the park, at the grayswood ave end, has a private gate now.

When they announce the Ricoh deal who's going?

I won't go back until the current board has gone!

    What's in a name?

Well, the FL have essentially seen it that way since the transfer of the GS! And very Astute, imo the fans are the club. The club is whatever we say it is, and whatever we decide to call it!

    A Sustainable Club?

I'm with the OP, the debt will be a noose around our necks for years to come. I'd rather take the hit now and start the rebuilding process. Responsible, answerable, fan ownership is the only option I favour, supporters would need to accept the notion of not spending more than we bring in...

Only the team & fans matter - genius or madness?

Absolutely, what ever route we choose to take needs preparation and planning, and that takes time!

Only the team & fans matter - genius or madness?

I agree, fan ownership is the way forward for me, but ONLY without the debt! If that means having to take some steps backward to regain control of the club, and for the benefit of future stability then, for me, it's a price worth paying. For me, this isn't about where we are playing this season...

    seen this?

That's how I see it! Sooner the better! I'm sure NOPM will significantly contribute to their departure. If we don't fear liquidation, we can't be held hostage!

    Les's Results

Grendel, how do you envisage the medium term panning out with the current custodians of our club? And, how do you think the board should begin to rebuild a relationship with those supporters who have been alienated?

    Les's Results

Didn't the FL say the club ceased to exist in August, when they they transferred the Golden Share? But, if you are asking would liquidating the club be preferable to several years with the current board then, yes, I would take a quick death. At least we could get on with the rebuilding...

Oh yes, Petrucci can play. The punk thing wiped all those 70's stadium rockers/prog rockers of the map afaiac, but I do like later proggy bands such as It Bites and (it Bites/Marillion side project) Kino. And Dio-era Sabbath, I think Die Young was their finest moment!

I have to confess; I really like Marillion (well, post-fish Marillion). Seasons End is one of my all time favourite albums, here's one that may be apt for some posters on here; she's got her "hooks in you". http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NDNYrPlCiT4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNDNYrPlCiT4 I'd...
