The Premier League and EFL have made a complete hash of this.
Leicester admit they are guilty but the Premier League can’t punish them this season because this season they are an EFL team and therefore not within Premier League jurisdiction. They can punish them next season if they are...
It was very interesting to listen to Brighton CEO Paul Barber talking about transfers.
Says most clubs focus on the next 2 windows, Brighton try to work on windows 3 and 4 … calculating which players will have improved to the point they realistically will lose then and ensuring they have the...
In reality very few clubs get their business done early, despite all managers wanting it done ahead of pre season.
This doesn’t seem to change regardless of how well funded a club is.
Selling clubs want to extract the very best price, agents want to give their player clients the absolute best...
No club has to bid more than the buy out clause.
Once the buy out price is hit then the selling club have a legal obligation to allow the player to leave if the player chooses too.
any bidding war will be on the package to the player not the club.
Inflation is still very much present in the UK so we should expect the ST to go up by at least 5%.
I dont like the number of non Saturday matches but it’s the price of relative success. I’m ok with that trade off.
I may get to a few less matches but I enjoy the season a lot more overall.
I see Dawkins was singing Thomas and Kitchings praises yesterday. Positively judged because they pop into his box to see him and his mates.
I prefer to judge based on how they play and how solid we look at the back.
My view isn’t a criticism of King.
I think he’s a shrewd business man .
I think he’s loving it right now but my view is that he will recognise that the club at some point will need the cash Injection well beyond transfer income and that is most likely to be provided by a much richer person...
It all depends on your view of significant.
5 or 6 players is significant in a playing squad of 18-20.
I think we all expect at least that number so no real surprises.
Hi Pete,
leaving the official car parks after the match is a nightmare with no obvious systems in place to keep the traffic flowing, people trying to find short cuts etc etc. any plans to take some professional advice to help resolve this now we are getting much higher crowds ?
I think Eccles is developing into a really good first team squad member. I think at home we need Toop’s added creative quality to break teams down but away Eccles work rate helps our defensive more than Torp.
That said I expect Eccles to start against Leeds when Robins will want the midfield...
Can we stop with this servant cliche …. He joined us freely, has been hugely well paid, and now is walking off freely after a relatively short spell with us. Great personality, very likeable … yes all true but certainly not a servant ….
