Fair play to Doug King for doing the right thing. Not many owners who listen to fan feedback with this sort of thing.

HAMER: BEST MIDFIELDER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

When was the last time Brazil or the Netherlands called up a player playing in the Championship? Maybe Netherlands might have called someone up who was already capped but got relegated from the Prem but I can’t imagine either side are at a low enough ebb to be looking in England’s second tier...

    Doug King Song

Quite a big difference between the best player to play for us in 20 years and some bloke who’s owned the club for less than 4 months and is yet to do actually do anything.

We signed most of our team on the back of money gained from sales?

    Doug King Song

We kept hold of all of them under SISU last season when we were flying too. I don’t think he’s done a bad job, he just hasn’t done anything to warrant the level of adulation he’s already receiving. Football fans in general have a bad habit of uncritically celebrating any change of ownership...

    Doug King Song

Everything you listed, bar improving the training ground, is something that SISU also did last season (or within the recent past specfically in regard to the stadium deal.). If improving the training ground is all it takes to become the new messiah then someone better start thinking up a Richard...

    Doug King Song

It’s always been an embarrassing song. Should have to earn a song, not just get one for turning up. King has done fuck all but the bare minimum you’d expect since buying the club.

    The £500 deal

Think it’s worth it if you’re an adult sitting in the premium zone. Probably not worth it if you’re not.

Renew or Not .Move or Not

I’ll be renewing, although moving from 21 to 17 or 18. Not because of the pricing, just that the guy who say behind me last season was a prick.

Maybe this is why you don’t deify someone the second they buy a football club just because you didn’t like the previous owners.

Can’t really think of a time where a club has changed season ticket pricing after announcement so I guess we’re stuck with this.

It’s a very ill advised video and will look incredibly stupid if it all goes tits up in a few years.

Gonna be honest, I'd only looked for myself with no kids when I posted this. Stand by the fact that £400 is decent for the Championship, but the kids pricing, and the forcing of people to move to the family stand is a joke.

Very reasonable pricing for Championship football. Fingers crossed for 15k season ticket holders next season. Good to see the club getting creative with the ‘Premier League package’ as well.

    Assuming we don’t go up

I’m sure there has probably been a contract offer on the table for Vik and Gus since King came in.

    Assuming we don’t go up

Will be quite a lot of overhaul no matter what division we’re in next season. Can’t imagine how much we’d have to spend if we did go up.

So what we saying for next week

It’s quite amusing how people have been talking Middlesbrough up for months, saying they’re favourites for the play-offs etc. yet if we beat them on Monday we’d finish the season on 2 points behind them.

    Championship 22-23

I don’t think us dropping out is as unlikely as some are making out, but I do think we will do it.

Match Thread ⚽️ Middlesbrough vs Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 8th May

We’re capable of beating them on current form and with the injuries they have, but they’re also more than capable of sticking a few past us if they click. Hopefully they’re not that arsed as we have two proper contests with them in the play-offs.
