So would you say that every transfer on deadline day is for an inflated fee?

Personally I would rather miss out on a player no matter how good, than encourage those kind of deals. A) it could encourage the big selling clubs to try this more often, and B) it would take away a critical source of potential income for the smaller clubs. Just my opinion.

Depends what happens with Thomas, seems unlikely at the moment but no one outside the club has much idea on that. I'm sure we wouldn't let Thomas leave without a replacement already in, and we would then need another.

We are stronger in goal than the team that finished last season, IMO that's the only way to look at it until another keeper becomes available on permanent and we move at least Collins on.
