Though he was very ineffectual tonight, he just didn't get any service. EMC was snuffed out, Saka and Rudoni were quite anonymous and the crossing was poor when we actually did manage to get crosses in.
The Woolfenden one would have 100% been given with VAR. Clear as day. When you look at the clip though, the ref's eyes are elsewhere in the penalty area and he missed it
The way I saw it, Furlong and and Ipswich did a job on EMC and that pretty much nullified him
That's fine if that happens, as long as others then step up to the plate. Because Rudoni was quite anonymous again and Saka also didn't make any impact, there's your problem right there.
They kept...
Of course. Because after they scored, it was pretty much only them that looked like scoring again. The goal changed the game. Add the stats of the first half, to after they scored in the second and the stats look so much worse.
I disagree.
Let's leave it there.
Lots of overreaction again on here, as there always is when we lose. I get it.
It wasn't just 10 mins. Watch it back, that's all I will say.
I didn't say "just one lucky deflection."
I said the lucky deflection changed the game
If people could look back at the second half over again, you would see we were on top until the goal
We will have to agree to disagree then. We looked the most likely to score and were on top. We were dominating the game.
The lucky deflection changed everything
Can't be bothered to read through the thread to be honest.
The sensible take from all this though is, we were very poor first half, but second half, much, much better and we were beginning to dominate the game.
One very unlucky deflection later and it turned the whole game back round again...
I am feeling the same. 3 nil and Rudoni to shine and score.
I am much more worried about the Charlton and Birmingham games to be honest and that is simply down to concerns of tiredness, due to the small squad .
I reckon we will win tonight and then slip up against either Charlton or Birmingham.
I am also rather in the surreal camp.
Can't quite get my head round it and keep expecting us to lose, or at least only gain a point in many games.
I do feel confident about tomorrow though for some reason.
