This is a point that needs to keep being hammered. There was a point blank refusal by the council to do anything to assist CCFC but they are constantly bending over backwards to help Wasps.

If it happens, and surely it can't happen again, it will no doubt start as a loan and then at some point when the heat is off be written off as a grant.

What time was this on, going to have to get it on iplayer as its hard to believe even Wasps fans can be that deluded. Wasps had a business plan in place, they were going to be the richest most successful club in Europe and the stadium was going to be sold out every week. With their track...

Wasn't there something in the bond prospectus where there could be other claims to the lease in the event it all went tits up.

Been there done that and it didn't get a very positive response! Back when this all began there was a lot of incorrect information about the Ricoh saga being posted on there, to be fair it was a very long and complicated situation that most of us on here who have been following closely struggle...

What never ceases to amaze me is the head in the sand attitude Wasps supporters have. They get constantly lied to and misled yet laud their owners and never believe there to be the slightest thing to be concerned about. Its a very odd attitude. Their current situation is they are unable to pay...

And ACL was 50% owned by the council so they could argue they were protecting their investment. That's not the case now.

This is a good point. St Andrews is fucked and they are broke, if Wasps get given money you can be certain they will want a hand out as well. Isn't there a plan for some fairly major works at Villa as well? Sure they wouldn't mind the taxpayer picking up the bill.

Can't remember the exact quote, or even who was the council leader at the time and said it, but I can distinctly remember the council saying they wouldn't consider helping CCFC while they were losing millions every year, something about needing to get their own house in order first.

They're now blaming Gilbert as he's some sort of SISU plant trying to unsettle Wasps. Yet another shining example of Wasps fans having zero knowledge of recent history.

This thought crossed my mind before todays news. Was there an agreement to lend the money but then when due diligence, and a valuation on the ground, was done issues have come to light. They're trying to borrow right to the limit of the stadium previous valuation, if there's significant work...

Even if it is for work on the stadium, and not paying off debt, why should public money be used? This wouldn't be an option for any other business. The whole thing about them getting millions to put a new frontage on never sat well with me, surely they won't get more money thrown at them.

Is it April 1st, this has to be a wind up surely? In what sane world can a private business borrow tens of millions, not be able to pay it back, and get bailed out with public money. That's before you even consider they've just had over £5m in slightly dubious circumstances. This has to be a...

You only have to look at the response in the city to any success we have compared to any success they have. I had to google to find out but since they've been here they've reached the play off final twice and it hasn't registered at all with the vast majority of people in the city. Compare that...

From a bondholder perspective surely the news is either you're getting your money or you're not. Would you really care where they were having to borrow it from or how many sources there are?

I would suggest if there's a new development in this saga and its positive news there would be no need to speak to bondholders. For example if the news tomorrow is they're getting paid its not really worth getting anyone on, if the news is there's a major problem then you'll get some mileage out...

Wishful thinking but if AEG took over the CBS it would not be out of the question that they also ended up taking over CCFC. They have a history of doing that and they have a history of their teams winning things. Would also mean a huge increase in the number of big name music acts at the CBS as...
