Match Thread Coventry City - Portsmouth FC Match Thread - Wednesday 9th Apr

Where would you rank that in the list of last minute winners this season ? For me it’s behind Stoke & Sheff Wed but above Luton, Oxford & QPR. Am I missing any ?

Match Thread Coventry City - Portsmouth FC Match Thread - Wednesday 9th Apr

We start well and score early and we win this comfortably, they are statistically one of the worst teams aways from home ever in this division. They are going to put 10 behind the ball and limit the space so crosses will be important. With that in mind like to see Haji on the left and Simms back...

Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

You can go back & forth over who is at fault for the 2nd goal but it’s clear Collins makes the defence nervous. Big call for lamps on Wednesday on who to go with now as I assume he prefers Collins over Wilson as he is better with his feet and helps with the build up but a keepers most important...

Woken up positive. 2-1 City today, Bobby to grab another late winner & Collins to play like prime Buffon

The biggest twat of the night was that horrible bastard Choudhury

Match Thread Sheffield United - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 28th Mar

Fuck your Friday night football, that was up there with one of the worst journeys to and from a football match. Nothing new to take from last night as it went as expected. Whilst we have a claim to be the best of the rest, we are miles off the top 3. My only gripe was EMC leaving Bidwell...

    Accounts Published - May 2024

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/wrexham-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-31286635 Interesting read on Wrexham's accounts; headline is their turnover was £26.7million, up %155 on py with a loss of £2.7m. It will be interesting to see how ambitious they are in the window...

Match Thread Derby County - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Mar

If there are doubts with Milan and EMC it makes sense to put them on the bench. As others have said we should have enough to beat a depleted Derby without them and hold them back for Saturday, but they would be a couple of cracking options to bring on as impact subs if we are chasing a goal.

Match Thread Coventry City - Stoke City Match Thread - Saturday 8th Mar

Head loss of the year award goes to that away end today. The scenes after Bobbys winner were glorious. FL’s comments post game were spot on. We have been far from perfect in our last 2 games but it shows the character in the side to keep finding these late winners after being pegged back...

    Frank Lampard efl unfiltered

I'm sure we will see a couple of sales if we are not promoted, but with what's come out recently with the accounts I trust in DK that these are on our terms and the money reinvested.

    Frank Lampard efl unfiltered

He is a class act, comes across really well. I noticed he mentioned a couple of times about the ambition of the club, recruitment & improving the squad - gives the impression he will be backed again in the summer

    Cov v Stoke

I would love us to score an early goal and then spend the rest of the game singing twist & shout after the shit they gave us

Would be surprised if Torp was picked to start with just over a week's training under his belt. Allen to play 60 with Torp to play the last 30, with the view to swapping that around at Derby ?

    Rudoni injury

Will be a massive miss as he has been the POS so far IMO, but I wonder if Frank was already considering switching to a back 5 for the games against Sunderland, Sheff U & Snorely in which case, could we go with 2 wingers behind the front man as we ended with against Sheff Wed. I would like to...

    Hmmmm

Spot on tactics wise - these wanna be Guardiola managers care more about their own image by sticking to a philosophy than surviving. Kompany getting the Bayern job off the back of a rotten season last year won’t have helped this. I actually think our more pragmatic approach under FL would mean...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

Performance of the season that was, absolutely dominated them for 90 minutes and deserved to win 4 or 5 - 0. I thought everyone had good games but Bidwell, Bobbs & Rudi were stand out. Even if we fall short this year I'm already excited for next season, FL and the coaches have got this squad...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

Completely agree on Deepdale although I have always found Preston a decent away day. Direct train, decent pubs outside the station for a pre/post game beer and never a sniff of trouble - just wish we could get a positive result there.
