GE, have you thought about a cruise?? We did it from Southampton about 6 years ago (with a six month old) and have never looked back. We now have two little ones and have cruised from Southampton a fair few times! (Tried one trip with a 1 year old and 3 year old to Lanzarote and flights/airport...
