Torp isn’t a a CDM. I think Torp could be a big player for us this season but if he is it will be as an 8. I’m still not convinced we will play with a 10 this season, it could well be 2 8’s.

Robins prefers Eccles defensive capability over Torps. I think Torps composure and passing range is far better but expect us to see that from the subs bench when we need more attacking threat at home or possibly starting away instead of Rudon when Robins wants more solidity in the midfield 3.

Turner will have been briefed by the club not to probe on it, particularly if it might end up in a tribunal. I do think he could legitimately ask if the backroom coaching set up is now complete. My suspicion is that it’s not yet complete but that there may be some deliberate changes of job...

We only have one in Sheaf unless you consider Lati to be a CDM which I don’t. It’s too crucial a position to risk having no cover for a sheaf injury, suspension or late transfer
