Tbf James Maddison was linked to Liverpool and Tottenham that January and ended up going to Championship Norwich. A lot of these links will just be his agent stirring things up. Us and Anderlecht are the only teams reported to have actually bid for him I believe.

It’s hard to place us when we are apparently still 9 signings away from a full squad, but I think with this much overhaul it’s likely to be a season of consolidation with next season being the one where we push on.

There is no actual noise that we’re in for him from anyone reliable. This seems to happen every year now with someone random foreign name. It was that Mats Knoeper last season.
