He's recruited for 5 at the back. If he goes to a four it would be square pegs in round holes. Going to a four also (generally) changes the shape of the midfield. We haven't really got the personell (at present) to play a midfield that would work with a back four ..... It would also need a bit...

After my thread about highlighting that we were a Sheaf injury away from a Kelly/Eccles midfield - which would be (and has proved correctly) to be a problem.. I was just about to start a thread questioning whether we are worse than we were first season back up..... I am feeling that we are.....

We were creating chances and looking like we could break teams down and play through them..... Not recently though.....

There was nothing to get the crowd going. We created virtually nothing. We forced their keeper into one save.... at home. We really struggled to break them down. It was a four performance.

Shite Worryingly poor. No real chances created. Fuck off.

Zero creativity through the middle for us. We have not created one clear cut chance. (Goal came from a shot from outside the box) Look "ok" going forward down either side, but ball not being moved quick enough to create space for Godden/Simms...

Do we have anybody that can dig us out like Vik and Hamet did last year? Plus, we need to add in the Jan window. We will have less games from the window opening to the end of the season to "hit some form" and put a run together like we did last year as there were less games from Aug to Christmas...
