The statement is worded slightly differently. The past statements have been they're in advanced talks to secure finance, this reads more like the club is being sold to me.

Pretty much every statement wasps have come out with in the last few years has turned out to be false so not sure I'd read too much into that.

that really wound me up. there is, or at least was, notes on the council website about a meeting where the football club ending up owning the lease was discussed and they spoke about how if that happened there must be a clause to prevent the club using it as security on finance.

One of the issues if they try and shaft the bondholders is that a decent chunk of them will be regular supporters taken in by the 'we'll be the richest and most successful club in the world' rubbish. Surely even Wasps fans wouldn't support their own supporters being ripped off.

Given they've spent the last fews weeks trying to make out the bond was being repaid any minute to avoid the bondholders taking action why would they give an intention to go into administration if they aren't actually going into administration. that's hardly likely to lead to the bondholders...

Possibly but not sure how they'd do that given the ground is the security for the bonds. Suspect there's many more twists to come in this tale, not time to celebrate yet.
