    QF Draw

Ours is the least interesting tie of the round for neutrals so I imagine we’ll be shoved on at 12 or 12:30 on the Sunday.

I’d be fine with anyone but Leicester.

    QF Draw

I work with a few of them who have been to a couple of games this season (usually when we’re in good form). Think a few ‘Cov are my second team’ fans will have taken advantage of the cheap tickets in the cup.

Please not Liverpool or Man United at home. The home end would be full of Liverpool/United ‘fans’ from Cov.

    Maidstone Ratings

Don’t really know how to rate that given the obvious gulf in glass and the low intensity we played at. Happy for Simms, he’s a much better striker when the ball is played in front of him than when he’s asked to play with his back to goal.

Yes, of course. Meant more from a fan perspective when evaluating its impact on tactics/selection choices for the remaining league games etc.

Was a bit like a pre-season friendly really, not sure how much we can take from any of it.

First thing he did after the final whistle was come over and applaud our fans.

Playing at about 25% capacity here and it’s still so comfortable. Some real sloppiness ok the ball at times but doesn’t matter too much when they aren’t going to punish us for it. Hoping we get 6 or 7, especially given how crazy of a high line they’re playing.

If that team is correct I expect us to win 3 or 4-0.

Get that clown out of goal

Just absolutely mental from Robins to drop Collins.

    Sakamoto Injury

Thankfully looks like he’s taking Dasilva with him!

His best (or second best, I missed Oxford) game he’s had for us was in the cup replay. He’s just not very good when he has to play against actual decent opposition.

    5 at the back now

We don’t have the strikers to play 5 at the back. Neithe Wright or Simms look close to scoring when they play in a two.

    Transfer Rumour Summer 2024

After last night we desperately need a new LB, some competition for Thomas at RCB, a winger on either side and a new striker.

Get that clown out of goal

I don’t understand where this idea that Collins isn’t any good has come from. Been decent for us this season. Robins dropping him for Wilson out of the blue is one of the most baffling decisions he’s made in his time here and it cost us big time last night.

    Preston Ratings

You know it’s a bad performance when even Andy Turner doesn’t rate anyone higher than a 5.5. The 3.5 for Dasilva might be his lowest score ever. Usually you can bang in a hatrick of own goals and get sent off and you’ll still get at least a 6 from ol’ AT.

    Milan van Ewijk Appreciation Thread

I’m not seeing it at the moment. Takes far too many touches when he’s got the ball at his feet and I don’t think his short passing is particularly great overall. Has good moments of link up play with O’Hare and Sakamoto but then there are too many times where he tries to play a quick first time...

Home fans in South Stand v Preston - Trial Confirmed

The light show was incredibly tinpot. Kind of thing you’d expect to see at MK Dons. So embarrassing.
