Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I have heard someone (undoubtedly a lawyer and Tory) say that the party that never happened anyway didn't break the rules because they were on Crown property, which was not covered by the restrictions. Or some such technical nonsense anyway. So now you - if you want a Christmas do gatecrash a...

Probably consulting one of his spreadsheets to find out if Starmer once held a house party in his teens without the consent of his parents and so thus has no right to criticise the Downing St party as he's a massive hypocrite

Ultimately, no, he couldn't, but just going in and taking him might not have changed the outcome anyway. The parents/guardians could have taken it out on him when he was returned to them and have suffered even more before he died. It's a difficult call and like I say I can understand why people...

And I understand that. I'm just pointing out the consequences of that action. The child would be back with the parents and you'd be being charged and probably given some sort of order to stay away from them (and other children probably). you actions might make the authorities pay more attention...

Yeah. Even if they wanted to bring back restrictions they've lost all credibility and almost everyone is just going say "F*** you!"

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Trouble is I can see it being a 'blame Boris' if/when he does go and loads of people will just let the party as a whole off, even though many of those that remain, and probably the new leader, have been complicit in this and numerous other pisstakes.

I disagree. If social services had deemed the home was fine it would be child abduction as the child had been taken without the parent/guardian's consent. I can certainly understand taking the risk, if for no other reason that it would bring the case more sharply into focus in the legal and...

    All purpose cricket thread

Before it even started it had that feeling of being a horror show. No Anderson, then Broad left out too. Then to decide to bat. Burns' dismissal was almost inevitable. It's going to be like 2006-7.

    FA Youth Cup

I think for a team made up mainly of first years and under against Cat.1 opposition it was a decent effort. The experience of playing against them will show them what they have to do to get to that level and it'll tell you a lot about the players if they strive to improve or get disheartened.

    Coventry U23 v Peterborough U23 Tues 1pm Higgs Centre

I agree that if they're running away with the 23's then getting them a bigger challenge would be more beneficial. Depends on who might want to take them on for the latter half of the season when clubs tend to be looking for experience to help with promotion or relegation pressures.
