what has happened to our set pieces. A few months back they looked like we'd put a decent amount of work in on the training ground and had some things planned now we're hit and hope.

Incredible isn't it. Remove all the incentives to work hard and then act surprised when people do the bare minimum and productivity goes to shit.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

We have over 200 clients where I work. Not a single employee at any of those companies can access there email or any company resources without proving their identity using a smartphone app. If you were being generous perhaps 5% of those people are supplied with a company phone or any sort of...

It wasn't required, it was ideological and we've stuck with it ever since. The note thing has been done to death. There had been similar notes left since 1965. Laws, the person who weaponised this, actually apologies to Byrne in 2023 for doing so.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yes, yes, yes - but after I had left for uni, yes to internet and cars with safety features. Not really sure what your point is here. Technology changes and these things aren't luxuries. A requirement of my contract of employment is to have a car, have a smartphone and have fast & reliable...

Why austerity? Think when you make such large cuts across the board it doesn't just impact those working in the public sector. But also think it introduced an era of scapegoating. One year of no pay rises or bonuses because of austerity became two and from there on it was excuse after excuse...

The problem with the 'its a free hit as we're not ready for the prem' theory is will we ever be ready for the Prem. Unless you're a team that comes down and retains the vast majority of your squad & has parachute payments to spend is anyone? Personally I don't see King suddenly going crazy with...

Sheffield Utd- Bristol City 2nd leg play offs

Interesting point. It's hardly a cheap day out and a lot of tickets to sell in a short space of time. Wonder what the point is that people start going off the idea of an annual trip to Wembley if we're not winning any of them.

The biggest single change was when the coalition came in and implemented austerity. Overnight benefits fell away and overtime was no longer a thing. And since then there seems to have been no real attempt to redress the balance. We've been in austerity / permacrisis ever since. Somehow...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

What would you class as financial pressure? I have a 'better' job than my Dad but the quality of living I can afford is worse and I don't even what to think about what my retirement will be like compared to his. The fact is having one parent at work and one parent at home was affordable then...

Some interesting choice of language to say the least. Not sure about making it harder for people to come and work here in the care sector. There's well over 100K roles that are unfilled and you can't just say fill them with British workers because they aren't interested.

    Weight and working out

Its so easy to get in to bad habits. I leave for work before 8, walk a few yards to my desk and then the vast majority of days don't get a break until I leave. Then its sitting in the car for 45 minutes to drive home. On a good day I'll get home at 7pm. I've then got 3 ish hours to exercise...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This all sounds very familiar. I get the idea of what Marty says but for me at least it's easier said than done. I've found it's not a problem at a particular company but in the wider working world. Having moved jobs twice nothing has improved. Had people say to quit work or move to something...
