Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

The argument is that of, if you are getting well beaten there becomes an acceptance within the game that you have lost and it's gradual. To lose on pens is just that instant, immediate kick to the gut and all the outpouring is one instant moment..

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

I am definitely going to watch. 1. It takes my mind off yesterday. 2. I want to see who we will be playing next season

They definitely could have been home and dry in that first half and we were very lucky they only scored the one

Gee, BF, you need to go for a long walk. And besides, Dabo is a defender. We were out of nominated penalty takers. We can't pin this on Dabo. Who else was trying to grab the ball off him and saying "no, I'll do it?" Luton were a very good side this season. Strength all over the pitch and it...

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

I do think it would have been better to have been soundly beaten yesterday. Penalties are just so overdramatic and gut-wrenching

    Reasons to be positive

I have confidence Robins will be able to replace Gyokeres and Hamer. Means unearthing unknown potential gems maybe, but I trust that he and Adi Viveash can do that. And maybe, just maybe, instead of being overly reliant on two star players, we could spread the load a little. Get quality...

That's not as catchy as the norma lyrics is it.

Your defence is very strong I would say. I think Bell is a very good player indeed. Yeah, I get that it's not all route one, but it is a lot of quick, long balls up to the forwards and down the channels to get round the back of defences. As I say, it has worked hasn't it. You were pretty...

Both goals were very good goals to be fair. I don't like the route one stuff either, but for you, it works. Hit it up to the big guy for knock downs for the rest to feed off. You are a fast team and strong and efficient. It worked. Do you think you will keep that same style in the Premier...

    Be proud of them anyway

Yeah, I knew it too, but I am not fuming at all. We were out of nominated penalty takers. He obviously volunteered. I am guessing others didn't.

    Play off final ratings

We were poor for the first 35 mins. No-one had a good game. Second half was much better. Hard to rate the players to be honest. Norton-Cuffy ran out of steam and was treading through treacle at the end. Vik looked dead on his feet too I get the Palmer gamble, but there was no way he was...

It has. A great season and we should be rightly proud. I'm not too gutted. Penalties is a farce. Luton finished 3rd. We played them 3 times and they didn't beat us once. They are a very good side at this level.

Right now, no New season, new players. Robins hasn't let us down so far has he. Eccles is decent enough for the Championship and Sheaf is a good player too. Sheaf, Eccles, McNally (perhaps), Palmer, Norton-Cuffy maybe, McFadzean. We have the nucleus of a good side.
